Teaser image of the new Mazda6 ahead of the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show
2007-08-07 03:28:32
You know when a motor show is coming up, and that is when car manufactures release teaser images of their cars. Mazda have just released a teaser image of their new Mazda6 ahead of the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show, which is a sedan based on the new Ford Mondeo.
Another thing that the Mazda6 will share with its sibling Mondeo is the punchy 3.5-liter V6 engine; expect more news to come from the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show. The Mazda6 is known as the Mazda Atenza in Japan, which has undergone a total redesign to give it more of that Zoom Zoom feeling.
The new Mazda6 carries on where the old model left off, with its responsive handling and great performance. This new model has taken the Mazda6 a step forward in both quality and safety.
The thing is will the Mazda6 be able to compete with the new Ford Mondeo?

Is Dell really planning its own Wi-Fi PMP?
2007-08-07 03:18:15
There are a lot of speculations flying around at the moment in where Dell announced their plans to acquire Zing, which basically means in my eyes that Dell are planning their very own Wi-Fi PMP. Zing is the technology company who make the platform for SanDisk’s Sansa Connect wireless music player.
The press release which is shown below does not show a lot of details, but what I am gathering is that Dell plans to use Zing and its technology to continue improving the entertainment experiences they provide to their customers.
There are a few questions that need answering which are –
1. Is Dell really planning its own Wi-Fi PMP?
2. What will the PMP look like?

Driving impressions of the Gran Turismo Maserati Quattroporte sports sedan
2007-08-07 03:13:03
Here we take a little look at the one of the new Gran Turismo coupes which is the gorgeous looking Maserati Quattroporte sedan. Sam Abuelsamid, over at Autoblog had the opportunity to have a drive in this luxury sport sedan and to give his driving impressions of the vehicle, how lucky is that then.
Many of us must agree that Italian cars over the years have always had some sort of flaw with them, but one thing that these Italian cars do not lack is style, and the Maserati Quattroporte is no exception as the vehicle just oozes style. But what would you expect; it is part of the Fiat Company, so it is related to the Ferrari.
When you take a seat inside the car your behind is treated to some of the finest leather, and you will be forgiven for thinking that you are in a top of the range luxury car. But once you start the engine and hear the sound of the 400-hp 4.2L V8, you then know that you are in a sports car as your brain has been given a wakeup call.
The new 2007 Maserati Quattropor ...

Incorruptible Fighter: Online game where Chinese corrupt party official’s gets wasted
2007-08-06 16:14:02
Incorruptible Fighter is a great online game from China in which you as the player get to do want most people dream of, and that is to take on corrupt party officials. The style of the game is something like GTA style. According to rumors it is thought that civil servants developed the game in a lighthearted way as to counter constant accusations of corruption within the government.
Incorruptible Fighter is an online game that was only meant to be small, as it was only meant to host about 500 people, instead there are at least 100,000 playing the game in the hope of taking out Communist Party officials. The game has received a lot of criticism in the past, but one thing is sure, the online gamers do love it.

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 the best luxury car supercar in the world
2007-08-06 13:30:58
So what make the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 the best luxury / super car in the world then? Well firstly, it is the fastest production car with a 0-60 time of 2.7 seconds and a top speed of 248.5mph that’s 400km/h. The W-16 engine produces 1001hp, which is just awesome.
The Bugatti Veyron, has been named after the French racing driver Pierre Veyron who won the 24 hours of Le Mans´ in 1939. He also drove a Bugatti to win the race. This is indeed a sports car for the 21st century. The car although the fastest in the world, is also the one of the safest cars in the world. The rear spoiler produces so much downforce, that the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 is glued to the road.

Tom Hanks to star in Fahrenheit 451?
2007-08-06 11:49:26
It has been reported this morning that Fahrenheit 451 (Ray Bradbury) will be hitting the big screens. Frank Darabont will be writing the script and directing the big-screen adaptation and he wants none other than Tom Hanks for the lead role.
Although AICN is reporting this, I’ll have to take it with a pinch of salt until I see some hard facts! Call me sceptical if you will! If they do make the movie, however, they’ve made a good choice with Tom Hanks. Hanks will play Guy Montag - a “Fireman” whose job it is to go round, burning books and the houses that store them, while prosecuting those who own them.
The story is set in the future where books have been completely replaced by interactive entertainment. When Montag begins to question a society that would want to destroy books, his life and the lives of those he loves become in danger.
Keep it at Product Reviews for more information on Fahrenheit 451 as and when we get it.

Ridley Scott to make Monopoly: The Movie
2007-08-06 11:43:19
When the rumours circulated that Ridley Scott was making a movie based on the family favourite board game monopoly, I nearly choked on my coffee. Quickly dispelling the rumours I got on with the real news. But, it looks like I was wrong to ignore the rumours, Ridley Scott is actually making a monopoly movie.
Scott recently spoke to the LA Times about the movie. He said, ““Monopoly is still the most popular board game — I might be misquoting! — in the world. So it’s really finding the universe for that game. Because clearly it ought to be humorous and for the family — the funny way it brings out, particularly when your uncle suddenly gets Park Lane and — in England, we have Park Lane, Mayfair and Barclay Square, what’s it in America? Park and Madison? So you watch people change. You’re witness to Jekyll and Hyde. Somewhere in that is a hysterically amusing and I think rather exciting film.”
I can’t see how even someone as talent ...

Gideon Raff speaks about his remake of the 80’s horror classic - Terror Train
2007-08-06 11:10:03
In the current trend of remakes, it’s good to see someone do something a little different. Gideon Raff, the director of the remake of the Jamie Lee Curtis 80’s horror classic “Terror Train”, has spoken about the film from the set in Bulgaria. He says the film has, ““nothing to do with the original.”
He continues to say that the film won’t be a remake of the original as it has an original screenplay. The film is about a group of American athletes competing in Eastern Europe. They’re supposed to get on a train to continue the competition and, due to a night out partying the previous night, they miss it. They get on a different train to catch up with their team mates and horror ensues.
Apparently, Gideon researched real crimes that happen in Eastern Europe and based it on that - not a good advertisement for Eastern Europe!
What about an illusionist like there was in the original? He says, “There is no magician. No…no David Copperfield, that’s ...

Ray Winstone to star in movie remake of The Sweeney?
2007-08-06 10:52:06
Reports have come through that a movie remake of the awesome 1970’s British cop show “The Sweeney” is in the works. The unstoppable Ray Winstone is expected to play Jack Regan, who in the television show was played by the late John Thaw.
In the 70’s The Sweeney had a shocking amount of grit, profanity and violence but I’m sure there will be even more in a film adaptation. In the show, the Metropolitan Police Flying Squad tackle the worst organised crime across London - and annoying a whole load of people in the process.
Original Series creators Ian Kennedy Martin is said to have written the script and Nick Love (Football Factory, The business) is attached to direct.

RECALL NEWS: Rehvac safety relief plugs
2007-08-06 10:47:30
Rehvac Manufacturing Co., along with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), has issued a recall of relief plugs used on nitrous oxide systems and HVAC service tools.
According to the CPSC, the safety relief plug can allow pressure to build in the cylinder of an HVAC pressure testing tool or Nitrous Oxide system. If the cylinder is overfilled and overheated it can burst, posing an injury hazard to consumers.
This recall involves the 3000 psi safety plugs used in the cylinders of Nitrous Oxide systems and in HVAC pressure testing tools. The Nitrous Oxide systems are used as gas boosters for motor vehicles. The plugs are nickel-plated. The number “3000” is stamped on the face of the plug.
No injuries have been reported however, Rehvac has received one report of a cylinder that was overheated and overfilled and burst.
The HVAC and Nitrous Oxide systems were sold at suppliers and retailers nationwide. The safety plugs for the HVAC pressure testing tools were sold from January ...

Benioff on Wolverine and the X-Men spin off
2007-08-06 10:44:28
An interview has been posted on Wizard Online with ‘Wolverine’ scribe David Benioff, who gave some juicy new details of what to expect in the X-Men spin-off feature.
Benioff admits that his favourite stories from the comics were “Chris Claremont and Frank Miller miniseries, and the Barry Windsor-Smith Weapon X.” These story elements are likely to be incorporated in the film.
In the project we will see Wolverine’s first ties to Weapon X, his time in Vietnam, his first run-in with Victor Creed (Sabretooth), a love interest, his bonding with adamantium and fellow mutants like John Wraith and The Blob.
When talking about his early-year comic book connections to Japan, he said, “[The Japan connection] is still something we really want to do. What we need to do is establish who he is and find out how he became Wolverine. And by the end of the movie, I want it to be that you definitely knew who this guy was, like Mad Max and Dirty Harry. He’s a good guy, but he’s not a nice g ...

Chuck Palahniuk’s Invisible Monsters has renewed Interest
2007-08-06 10:27:56
Chuck Palahniuk is one of the best authors around. As the author of Fight Club, he earned his global recognition and on the back of that success, he released the equally brilliant Invisible Monsters.
After the success of Swimming Out to Holly, a short film that played at the 2001 Sundance Film Festival, newcomer Jesse Peyronel caught Chuck’s attention with his screenplay adaptation of Invisible Monsters. Chuck optioned the project to Jesse for one year, but the money never came together - even with the rumour that Jessica Biel was interested in starring in the film adaptation.
Jesse persisted and finally, this week, IMDB has added the project to the database fuelling rumours that the Choke movie adaptation starring Sam Rockwell (currently filming) has ignited new interest in the project.
Invisible Monsters follows the story of a beautiful young fashion model, Daisy St. Patience, who becomes the victim of an accident that left her disfigured and unable to speak. During her stay in t ...
