Tony Hawks Proving Ground Playable Demo for PS3 Confirmed by Activision 2007-08-07 10:41:46 I found via PlayFrance that Activision have just announced that the latest Tony Hawks game called Tony Hawks Proving Ground will get a cool downloadable demo onto the Playstation store just before Thanksgiving which it all good for you PS3 fanboys. So you will be able to download the PS3 Tony Hawks Proving Ground Demo in November. Ok so there is yet another Tony Hawks game which personally is boring, how many has there been now (to tell you the truth cannot be bothered to count). I am sorry if you are a fan of this game and I must say I was at one point but they just keep on coming and it is kind of getting boring now. Standard Chartered Profits Surge, Asian Bank Promises Growth 2007-08-07 10:36:07 The Asian Bank Standard Chartered saw their first half pre tax profits surge 30 per cent, rising to almost $2 billion. StanChart also said their would be no let up in their plans for aggressive growth so this means more acquisitions for Standard Chartered. However, the CEO of Standard Chartered, Peter Sands, has dismissed rumours that Standard Chartered was going to big for Nebank, who are owned by Old Mutual in South Africa. Peter Sands said: “The core of our growth is organic but at the same time we are on the constant lookout for acquisitions. Virgin Media Gives Other Bidders More Time After £5.5bln Offer 2007-08-07 10:19:14 Cable TV company Virgin Media has extended its strategic review of the business to give other bidders more time to make a offer for the company. Virgin Media has received a bid of £5.5 billion from an as yet anonymous bidder. Virgin Media are apparently giving other bidders more time to put together a deal, waiting for a “more stable debt market environment”. Recently, Virgin Media shares have been taking a bit of a beating due to a row that they had with rival TV company, Sky TV. This application from Buy.com mean that Facebook members will be able to buy and sell things directly to their other Facebook contacts. For this service, Buy.com will charge a flat 5% commission on any completed sales, but this does not include PayPal and other charges that may occur.
