Could Kevin Smith be directing Super Max for his Comic Book movie? 2007-08-08 14:52:40 Kevin Smith (Clerks) has revealed that it’s possible he will be doing a Comic Book movie after all. Smith was originally attached to write and direct The Green hornet but bowed out after fearing that he would not be able to handle such a big budget movie. Smith has already lined up his next two films: a rom com titled Zack and Miri Make a Porno, followed by a horror film titled Red State. After those two, howevver, it’s likely he will do a superhero flick. Speaking to Wizard, Smith said, “I think that by that point, by my 10th film, I’ll be ready to take on something that is very visually oriented. Be Kind Rewind movie trailer leaked on YouTube 2007-08-08 13:37:57 The trailer for Michel Gondry’s new comedy Be Kind Rewind premiered at Comic Con last weekend. It was taped by someone who then uploaded the video to YouTube. I wouldn’t recommend viewing the trailer on a handheld camera and you don’t have to wait much longer until the trailer is released with Rush Hour 3 (Friday 10th August) The trailer will also premiere online Thursday. In the movie, we meet Jerry (Jack Black) a junkyard worker who attempts to sabotage a power plant he suspects of causing his headaches. He inadvertently causes his brain to become magnetizes which leads to the unintentional destruction of all the movies in his friend’s (Mos Def) store. In a bid to keep the stores one and only loyal customer, an elderly lady with a tenuous grasp on reality, the pair re-create a long line of films including The Lion King, Rush Hour, Ghostbusters, When We Were Kings, Back to the Future and Robocop. New photos and information released from Jumpers 2007-08-08 13:29:54 10 days after Fox announced that it was too early to release material from their new movie Jumper, an official Jumper website and four production photos have been released. The 1992 Steven Gould sci-fi novel adaptation follows a young man (Hayden Christensen) who, with the help of a genetic anomaly can teleport himself anywhere. He discovers that the gift he holds has existed for centuries and finds himself in a war that has been raging for thousands of years between ‘Jumpers’ and those who have sworn to kill them (Samuel L. Jackson). The gorgeous Rachel Bilson plays David’s childhood friend and also his crush. Jamie Bell plays Griffin, a Jumper who has fought and evaded Paladins since his childhood. The film was directed by Doug Liman (Go, The Bourne Identity) and was based on a David S. Goyer screenplay adaptation. I sincerely recommend you buying this book as it is a fantastic read. Spy Shots of the mystery Mercedes-Benz sports coupe 2007-08-08 13:03:10 KGP Photography has been hard at work again, and if you think that this spy shots are not worth looking at think again. You can tell just by the length and shape that this is the new Mercedes-Benz sports coupe, which is being developed along with HWA, the German car makers racing partner. There has not been much floating around about this new car and that the car was even being developed, but this spy shots prove that the new Merc shows that this is the mule being tested. These shots were taken near the desert near the AMG engineers. This new sports coupe will have its engine at the front, as the vehicle has a long snout. This new car will be pretty close to the SLR, as the wheelbase measures 106-inchs. Over at Winding Roads they believe that this new Merc could be a new Maybach coupe, only time will tell. The new Hyundai Elantra Touring Five-door compact: Coming to dealers in 2008 2007-08-08 12:20:00 Hyundai in America have just announced that their new five-door compact will be named the Elantra Touring, and it should reach dealers in 2008 and will be a 2009 model. Hyundai say that the name Touring captures the models combination both high-function and the fact that the vehicle has fun factor. Included in the Elantra Touring will be some of the best safety features in its class, like Electronic Stability Control which is the first compact five-door to feature this safety feature, Traction Control, ABS will also be a standard feature with the added safety of Electronic Brake-force Distribution. There is to be six airbag, which include side curtain airbags. Another great feature of the Hyundai Elantra Touring is that it will have the largest interior volume of any other five-door vehicle in its class. Honda Acura to get low-emission diesel engines by 2010 2007-08-08 11:33:09 We already know that Honda announced that they are to introduce a new 2.2L four cylinder clean diesel engine to the US market, and it will likely go into the 2009 Accord. However word has now come out that there is to be a smooth V6 diesel and the most likely car for the engine to be mounted into would be the 2010 Honda Acura. Takeo Fukui, the CEO of Honda had said in an interview, that if the four-cylinder diesel proved popular in their Honda Accord, then we would like to use the V6 clean diesel for out Acura models. If that was the case then the new V6 Honda Acura Diesel would go head to head with German rivals such as the BMW 5-Series and also the Mercedes E-Class, both this vehicles use the V6 diesel engine. As Chrysler and Cerberus officially link the automaker kicks of new childish ad campaign 2007-08-08 11:10:29 As we now know Cerberus and Chrysler are now officially linked, also Chrysler as a private company are celebrating 100 years. To help celebrate their birthday they have a new ad campaign which it titled “Get ready for the next 100 years.” In these ads it will showcase the many accomplishments that Chrysler has made over the years. In the print campaign for Chrysler it shows three kids in car sears, each of which are dressed in different clothes that match each brand. The Dodge kid has a racing helmet on along with a race suit, the Jeep kid has a camouflage hat and car seat, whice the Chrysler kid is wearing a smart dress which shows of how the brand stands for both class and refinement. NBA Player Randolph Morris On New York Knicks Charged With Reckless Driving 2007-08-08 11:02:50 Reckless driving charges have hit the New York Knicks center Randolph Morris. Randolph Morris was arrested on Tuesday and has now been charged with reckless driving but he has been released from jail on a $100 bond. However, Randolph Morris did not appear in court for his hearing and so his attorney Chad Butcher entered a not guilty plea on his behalf. If the arrest report is to be believed, Randolph Morris smelled of alcohol and had bloodshot eyes when he was arrested. What Do You Think of the New Apple iMacs? 2007-08-08 11:00:42 After showing you all what the new iMacs boast here, what do you think of them? Do the new iMacs meet up to your standards? Or is it the same as it ever was with an aluminium and glass case? Personally, I think Apple really are revolutionary when it comes to design. Manufacturers were almost scared of the colour white on personal electronics until a few years ago. Thanks to Apple, the Nintendo Wii and DS Lite come in a beautiful white finish. The 30gb iPod comes in a sexy white colour. If you ask me, Apple really are the trend setters and you will almost definitaley see silver and black products from all sorts of manufacturers lining your shelves before christmas. This huge luxury sedan will compete with other green cars such as the Lexus LS 600h, and the BMW 7 Hydrogen. This new engine is a V6 2.8 TSI which produces 210hp and has a top speed of 238 km/h, 0-60 time is about 8 seconds. The car will achieve about 28mpg combined cycle. Although you might think that these specs are not very green, just consider that the Lexus LS 600h will only achieve about 25mpg.
