2007-08-10 04:28:15
Like me I love to listen to the radio, as they play a great selection of songs and also certain do make me laugh. Most cars come with a basic radio in them, but some luxury cars like the Rolls Royce have a satellite and radio systems built in, but now it seems that Ferrari wish to get into the game also. The Ferrari 612 Scaglietti are the cars which will be fitted with a XM Radio and XM NavTraffic, ok I know what you are thinking, why would we want to put a sound system and satellite system in this car when all we want to do is listen to the sweet sound of that Ferrari V12. And let’s face it; it is nice to get lost in your Ferrari 612 Scaglietti as you can show off your Italian beauty to even more people. Basketball coach Bob Knight not entitled to collect insurance
2007-08-10 04:17:01
It has been said that basketball coach at Texas Tech Bob Knight is not entitled to collect insurance: Bob Knight will not be able to collect insurance to recoup money that he paid to settle a lawsuit which stemmed from his 1999 confrontation with the former assistant at Indiana University, the Indiana Court of Appeals ruled on Wednesday, Aug. 8th. Bobby Knight obviously argued this point that the Indiana Insurance Co wrongly denied him liability coverage for the suit; this was filed by Ron Felling over his firing by Knight. Bob Knight in the end settled with Felling back in 2002 in where he paid him $25,000 plus admitting that he had pushed Felling in anger after an overheard phone conversation in which Felling criticized Knight’s coaching and behaviour. Knight went on to argue that he was covered under the home owners policy and that in fact the insurer breached its duty to investigate this incident further and defend him from Mr Felling’s lawsuit. It was ruled last year that ...

Dell Announces Linux Systems For Europe, Windows Becoming Less Popular?
2007-08-09 16:34:46
The second-largest computer maker today announced its first range computers in Europe to be sold installed with the Linux operating system, as opposed to Microsoft’s dominant Windows operating system. At the end of the day, Dell are a business, which is there to maximise profits. An open-source, free (meaning lower costs) and increasingly popular operating system compared to Windows Vista, a disappointing and shameful OS, is more attractive; to both the consumer and the company themselves. Laura Conigliaro, the Goldman Sachs analyst, said: “Moving forward, we think acquisitions such as Zing will help Dell to offer refreshed consumer products with differentiated features and improved design – key steps in gaining both market and mind share in the consumer segment.” Why do you think Windows is becoming more and more unpopular? Critical Norton 2006 Flaw, Symantec Patched Up
2007-08-09 16:25:45
Norton Antivirus software users need to be careful of a serious bug concerning the ActiveX programming language, which could potentially cause serious problems for users of Symantec products. Rest assured, last Thursday Symantec patched the security risk giving a warning that the bug under Symantec’s Norton software could allow a nasty attacker to run software on the victim’s computer without their knowledge or permission. Johannes Ullrich, chief research officer for the SANS Institute said “It’s serious because potentially anybody that has Norton AntiVirus installed is now vulnerable,” he said. “Now all that has to happen is for them to visit a malicious Web site.” How do you feel about the Symantec Norton software? Would you reccommend any of the Norton protection software? Written by Ryan for Product ReviewsIn Sections: Software ...
Microsoft Turn Down Windows Virtualization on Top of Linux; Bad Choice?
2007-08-09 16:14:23
Sam Ramji, the director of Microsoft’s open-source software lab has recently confirmed what many of us would call an inevitablity: Microsoft will definitely not allow Windows Vista or Windows XP to be virtualized on top of Linux, which may come as a disappointment to some. “What we have heard predominantly from customers is that they want to be able to mix and match their data center applications, but we haven’t seen significant demand for Linux applications on the desktop or for desktop virtualization on top of Linux,” Ramji said in an address titled “Linux and Windows Interoperability: On the Metal and on the Wire.” Up arises the question, did Microsoft make the wrong move? If you ask me, Microsoft can get all the help they can get with their recent disappointment, otherwise known as Windows Vista. What do you think? Pink Panther Sequel: John Cleese joins impressive cast line-up
2007-08-09 16:10:59
Steve Martin. He’s one of my favourite comedic actors of all time, he’s starred in such great modern comic classics but now, he’s on a downward turn. Pink Panther was, to be fair, poor but hopefully with the addition of John Cleese, it’ll get a whole lot better. One saving grace on this movie is that the cast is impressive. The magnificent John Cleese is playing Inspector Dreyfus which I think is absolutely perfect casting! Joining him will be Andy Garcia, Alfred Molina and Aishwarya Rai (“The Queen of Bollywood”) who is often referred to as The Most Beautiful Woman in the World. The three will play detectives and experts who join forces with Clouseau to catch the thief who has been stealing artefacts from around the world. Jean Reno and Emily Mortimer will be returning to their roles. The film was written by five screenwriters: Scott Neustadter and Mike Weber (both newbies), Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel and Steve himself. Harald Zwart will be directing Pink Panter 2 ...

Intel really are the ‘daddy’ of the chip world and when they announce something like this, expect it to be big. “Penryn” is the successor to the Merom core, used in all the Core 2 Duo chips that has revolutionised our notebook world. “Penryn” will apparently be based on 45nm fabrication process entirely, a real change to the previous Merom core. These “Penryn” based Core 2 Duo processors will shed a new light on the spanking “Santa Rosa” platforms expected in Q1 2008. What do you think of Intel and their recent progression in the chip world? Are you an Intel fan? Or do you stand by your AMD based machine? Written by Ryan for Product ReviewsIn Sections: Computer Hardware ...

Perfect 10, Porn Company Sues Microsoft
2007-08-09 15:59:27
The publisher of certain nude model photography is suing Microsoft (big time) for their placement of the links and images of the company’s content in wrong search results taken from other unrelated Web sites. “Our business is being destroyed,” Zada said. “This is a life and death battle for us.” Perfect 10 sued a fair few companies, ranging between 20 to 25 Web sites that were ’stealing’ its content if you like, but “it’s absolutely hopeless. A lot of these people are in Russia or China,” a representative of Perfect 10, named Zada, said. Instead, Zada said he holds the search engines fully responsible for making it so easy to find this content, harming his company, which defeats the purpose of his magazine. Dan in Real Life Movie Poster
2007-08-09 15:52:51
I love, love, love Steve Carell. There’s something about him that makes him look perfect on every movie poster. He’s like a chameleon who can instantly change into someone else when put in front of movie poster background. He did it with 40 Year-Old Virgin and has done it again with Dan in Real Life. Dan in Real Life is a movie about, you guessed it, Dan who is a widower and parenting columnist two is trying to raise three girls. The plot outline circulating at the moment is “A widower finds out the woman he fell in love with is his brother’s girlfriend.” last year, it was three brothers competing for a woman’s affections so that could happen too. Juliette Binoche is the lucky lady with Carell, Dane Cook (her boyfriend) and Norbert LeoButz vying for her affection! I’d personally go with Carell - is it wrong I fancied him in his whole Moses get up for Evan almighty? The film comes out in October Source Written by Lucy for Product ReviewsIn Sections: News, Film News ...

Jessica Alba joins The Love Guru
2007-08-09 15:13:54
Surely stunning Jessica Alba doesn’t need any help from The Love Guru? Apparently she does as she’s joined the cast for Mike Myers’ new film, his first live-action since The Cat in the Hat in 2003. An even better cast addition is that of Verne Troyer aka Mini Me! Jessica will play the owner of an ice hockey team and Myer’s love interest, while Troyer will play the team’s coach. The 40 Year-Old Virgin’s Romany Malco will play the team’s star player who’s wife is involved with the star player on a rival team. Myers’ “love guru”, Pitka is an American raised on an Indian Ashram and is called in by Alba’s character to break the affair up, get the couple back together and thereby ensure that the teams MVP gets them to the championship. Pitka then becomes the most lovely guru in town! The film will be directed by Marco Schnabel, a second-unit director on Austin Powers in Goldmember and Meet the Parents. Production is set to start any minute with a June 20th release p ...
