Sony PS3 & Microsoft Xbox 360 (Elite) Poll: Please help me decide? 2007-08-13 10:03:45 Now this is a real poll and not an attempt to cause a war between two platforms I promise you that, I really do have a dilemma. I recently bought an Xbox 360 and am really happy with the game play and graphics, I must say playing online is bloody awesome. Everything about the 360 is great and would not change it, but and a big BUT “It is so noisy and even more so with an intercooler attached”. Now here is my thing, my cousin had the Xbox 360 and he swore by it until it broke down (oops), so he decided to take it back and in the end he got a full refund. Now his question is does he buy the Xbox 360 Elite or does he by the Sony Playstation 3; well he opted for the PS3 and now he is trying to convert me. I have recently played the PS3 and must admit am impressed with the graphics, downsides are the Blu-ray seems a little jumpy to me and there are not as many titles as the 360, but I am still confused. Makes you wonder why Hayden would want to purchase a Cayenne, the SUV looks like the Turbo which would cost about $90,000 upwards and for that money she could have got herself something much better. Maybe it has something to do her size, Hayden is a small girls so her driving around in a Porsche Cayenne, would give her the best of both worlds, a sporty vehicle with the height to look over most of the other cars on the road. Exclusive Footage from The Dark Knight Revealed! 2007-08-13 09:52:49 There have been a couple of false starts, a viral marketing campaign and an intriguing teaser trailer but after all that, footage from Chris Nolan’s The Dark Knight has finally screened last night at Wizard World. Wizarduniverse.com has kindly post a fairly detailed report of the footage, which was shown just the once. They’ve also posted a transcript of the Q&A involving Chris Nolan (writer/director), Jonathan Nolan (writer), Christian Bale (Bruce Wayne), Aaron Eckhart (Gotham DA, Harvey Dent), Gary Oldman (Jim Gordon) and David Goyer (co-writer). Rush Hour 3 tops the Box Office 2007-08-13 09:35:45 Now, I’m not a rush hour fan but it looks like about 5 million people are with the movie hitting the number one spot with total takings at $50.2 million. It’s $17 million below the previous movie but with strong numbers and good takings it looks like Chris Tucker still has a career. The Bourne Ultimatum, last week’s number one, lost just over 50% of its first week numbers but stayed at number two with a strong $33 million. That means The Bourne Ultimatum has earned a very healthy $132.3 million in two weeks, with The Simpsons adding a further $11.3 million to take their total after three weeks to $152.3 million. It has been reported that Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher haved signed onto the comedy which has been titled “What Happens in Vegas…”. Today, the Tom Vaughan comedy has moved up a gear. The movie is about a pair of strangers who wake up after a debauched night to find that they are now married and that one of them has one a fortune while using the other’s quarter. They then embark on a series of plots to undermine each other while falling in love for real. Today, there has been addition of two key supporting cast members. Rob Corddry, a former Daily Show stalwart, has signed up to play Kutcher’s best friend Hater who is an attorney who richly deserves his nickname. Bernanke, Trichet Under Pressure as Fed and ECB Urged To Lower Interest Rates 2007-08-13 09:07:08 The Federal Reserve and the European Central Bank are facing increased demands to lower interest rates after the financial markets took a hammering last week on credit fears stemming from the US mortgage and home loan markets. This means that Fed Head Ben Bernanke and the head of the European Central Bank Jean- Claude Trichet may be forced to stop raising interest rates or even begin to lower them. The central banks around the world has already pumped over $300 billion into financial markets in order to try and stabilize the situation which is rapidly heading towards crisis point. “The dramatic moves by many of the world’s central banks could imply that we have a whole new ball game when it comes to monetary policy,” says David Brown, chief European economist at Bear Stearns Cos. in London. Indiana Jones 4 has six possible titles? 2007-08-13 09:04:25 At Comic-Con everyone expected to hear loads on Indy 4 but nothing was revealed. But, it has emerged today that LucasFilm has filed six possible titles for the Indiana Jones sequel. Now, it’s also possible that none of these titles are the real title for the film, but for now Empire has provided suggested plot lines to go with the six titles. They are: Indiana Jones and the City of Gods: Indy and son head to Rio in search of the perfect bikini for Marion Ravenwood, and find themselves in the middle of a gang war in the city’s biggest slum. Ahem. But seriously, this could carry on the series’ general Judeo-Christian theme. Jurassic Park 4: Dinosaurs with weapons? 2007-08-13 08:59:19 Universal Pictures have reportedly begun casting for Jurassic Park IV. It’s said that the new film involves dinosaurs which have been outfitted with weapons by the US government. Oh dear! Now, Jurassic Park is a great movie franchise, so why ruin it with a ridiculous plot like this one? It seems the more sequels there are, the more stupid they become. Maybe if Universal studied more successful sequels (Toy Story 2, Aliens) then their own might be of a better quality! Shooting for Jurassic Park 4 will begin later this year in Kauai, Hawaii. There is still no word on who will direct the film though, with Jurassic Park 3 helmer Joe Johnston bowing out. Laura Dern was reportedly asked to return for the new film. Recently at a European press event it was said that a senior brand manager slipped up and revealed the European release date for the game called Call of Duty 4 on the Sony Playstation 3. The date was revealed to be September the 9th which is fantastic news for all those waiting to hear, now if this is the real release date then this means that it will be released in the middle of 2 other game release which are “Haze” and “Assassin’s Creed” if I am not mistaken. kernal rehobson dies in Missouri Micronesian first congregational church shooting 2007-08-13 08:24:55 Rev. Kernal Rehobson, 44 who led a group of Micronesians for around 15 years and of which ran a Micronesian store out of his house in Goodman was one of the victims to die in the church shooting, a gunman opened fire in the sanctuary of a southwest Missouri church Sunday and this is where one pastor and 2 worshippers were killed plus several others were wounded. Rev. Kernal Rehobson was the one who led the congregation of predominantly Micronesian worshipper’s service at the First Congregational Church. The 2 names of the other people that died have not been released because relatives are being notified first, the gunman ordered children out of the Missouri church and it is afterwards that the gunman opened fire, kernal rehobson was shot multiple times and was found dead at the scene.
