James Bond To Get a Dose Of Jason Bourne Magic for Bond 22
2007-09-04 07:25:26
Jason Bourne was bad news for Bond. Since the birth of Bourne, James Bond has been criticised for indulging in a little too much Champagne and playing with too many Pussy Galores. Surely he should be jumping off roofs and killing someone with his pinky finger?
With Casino Royale, Bond stood up to Bourne and offered more gritty action and violence than the previous movies. Now, it seems Bond 22 is taking a further step to Bourne-dom by hiring Dan Bradley as second-unit director on the film.
Now, you’re all saying Dan Bradley? Why is he important? Well, he was the action designer on the Bourne Supremacy and Bourne Ultimatum, which means he will undoubtedly know a thing or two about mammoth action scenes. He’s not just worked on The Bourne movies, he’s also second-unit directed Superman Returns, the two Spidey sequels and has just finished on Indy 4
His posting on the movie shows that those in the Bond camp want a little Bourne Magic, contributing to the debate - Who’s the better ...

Anniversary Of Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin
2007-09-04 07:12:10
Today marks the one year anniversary of the accidental death of Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin.
Family, friends and fans of Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin are marking the first anniversary of his death.
Steve died when his heart was pierced by a stingray’s barb while snorkelling off the Great Barrier Reef last September.
But one year on, Steve’s widow, Terri, said she was hoping for a low-key day and some privacy. Mrs Irwin has said she is planning to spend the day with her children Bindi, nine, and Bob, three.
Mrs Irwin recently announced that she had nominated November 15 as a commemorative day in honour of her late husband and that she wants everyone to wear Irwin’s trademark khaki shirts on that day as a mark of respect.
The date was also chosen to mark the birthday of Irwin’s favourite giant Galapagos tortoise, Harriet, who died earlier this year aged 176.
Our thoughts are with the family at this time

Girls Aloud Star Cheryl Cole Has Criticised X Factor Producers
2007-09-04 06:54:30
Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole has criticised X Factor producers for lowering the show’s age limit to 14.
Cheryl has claimed that teenagers will struggle to cope with the pressures of appearing on the ITV1 talent series maybe she is right maybe she is wrong.
Cheryl said that “At that age, you’re very delicate. You are going through your teenage years which are the craziest of your life, you don’t quite know if you’re coming or going or who you are.
She went on to say that “To have someone criticise you when you’re that young is very hard. Give them a few years, a chance to finish school and they’ll be ready.”
What do you think is she right or do you think that they will be able to cope with the pressure so young?

Joust: The Movie? We’re Not Joking!
2007-09-04 06:45:46
Oh Dear. Michael Cerenzie Black Water Transit and Christine Peters’ new production banner, CP Productions have announced that they have bought the rights to make the most simple, boring video game adaptation of all time. Joust.
In the game, the player takes the role of a knight with a lance, mounted on either an Ostrich or an emu, battling waves of computer controlled enemy knights of different speed and agility, mounted on giant buzzards.
The game was ported to the Atari’s own 2600, 5200, 7800; Lynx and ST, NES, Sony PlayStation, Sega Saturn, Nintendo 64, Game Boy, Game Boy Colour, PC, Xbox 360, BBC Micro and Palm OS.
Now, I’m an imaginative person but I really can’t see how they will make a movie out of this simple concept video game. There going to need some great screenplay writers to make this into anything remotely worth going to see.
As usual, more when we get it!

Kevin Smith in a Question and Answer Session For Red State
2007-09-04 06:22:53
Ever since it was announced that Kevin Smith had finished the first draft of his horror film Red State, he’s been talking about the film all over the view askew message boards. That’s a great thing about Kevin Smith, no matter how busy he may be, he’ll always make himself accessible to his fans and let them know what he’s up to.
As you can imagine, there were a lot of questions asked on the message board, so we’ve whittled it down to a few. In the Q & A Smith talks about his writing process, how the film is more bleak than Requiem for a Dream, political themes and sharks!
Question: From the time you sat down to write it, how long did it actually take you to finish?
Smith: I started writing on Saturday. Finished [Wednesday]. However, to be fair, I’ve had months to let it simmer and stew in my imagination before I started the actual script, so I wasn’t flying blind. I also spent about a week doing a twenty page outline that I then worked off of. But from the first “I ...

Helena Bonham Carter has signed on to return as Bellatrix Lestrange in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the sixth film adaptation in the series. Carter is the first outside the main three characters that has been confirmed to return for the film.
I’m almost certain Alan Rickman will return for the sixth film and I’m sure many of the other main characters won’t hesitate to return. Filming for the sixth movie will begin in two months as Half-Blood Prince is scheduled to hit theatres on November 21, 2008.

Samsung Croix cell phone: to do battle with the Apple iPhone
2007-09-04 05:46:53
Samsung used to be a joke when it came to cell phones many years ago, but times have changed and they seem to be releasing new phones every month. We now have the Samsung Croix, which Samsung believe will be able to do battle with the Apple iPhone.
The Samsung Croix has a brand new touch screen, the interface that this new cell phone uses in called Croix which means cross in French. The Samsung Croix has started its early like well by winning an iF Communication Design Award 2007. Although Samsung have said that the new Samsung Croix will do battle with the iPhone, it is not known how long we will have to wait until Samsung release their new touch screen mobile phone. But one thing is certain the interface is very clean and easy to use, so let us hope that this will give them a fighting chance against the Apple iPhone.
