2007-08-18 04:06:50
After the Federal Reserve discount rate was dropped to 5.75pct, it sparked a rally on Wall Streets as a lower Fed funds rate means cheaper borrowing costs. Cheaper credit comes as a great relief to the financial markets as Wall Street was experiencing a credit crunch but now it appears to have recovered as mortgage stocks such as Thornburg Mortgage increased greatly. Thornburg Mortgage was up over 21% at the close of business on Wall Street. After the Fed discount rate was cut, Wall Street soared with the Dow Jones closing at 13,079.08, a gain of 1.82% or 233.30 points. The drop in the Federal funds rate made the NASDAQ do even better, as its gained 2.20% or 53.96 points to finish at 2505.03. But out of the three major Wall Street Indices, it was the S&P 500 that performed the best after the Fed discount rate was cut as the index put on 34.67 points or 2.46% to close at 1,445.94 at the end of trading on Wall Street. Many believe that the Fed discount rate cut is just the beginning ...

Naked pictures of Hollywood Celebrity couple Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey have appeared online. The pictures were taken when the hot couple was on vacation in Mexico; the couple has threatened to file a massive lawsuit if the images were ever published, either in a magazine or also online. Thing is this did not stop a Spanish magazine from publishing these uncensored photos, these images show both Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey were in a hot tub having a romp. The photos have also appeared online. When word got out about the nude picture, OK Magazine purchased all of the images to stop them being published. Steve McQueen’s Ferrari Lusso sells for $2.3 million: Twice its estimated value
2007-08-17 15:45:18
Early today we told you that Steve McQueen’s brown Ferrari Lusso: The Star Car at Christies Monterey Auction, it was expected that the Ferrari was to fetch $1 million, but the Italian sports car sold for $2.3 million that’s more than twice the original value. Only 350 of Ferrari Lusso’s were made and Steve McQueen had to have one, but boy was the color of brown an ugly choice. McQueen purchased the car in 1963, and just 10 years later in 1973 Steve decided to trade it in for a newer Ferrari. Michael Regalia, a car restorer worked hard to get the Ferrari Lusso back to its original appearance. If the car was not owned then it would have only fetched $600,000 to $800,000, instead of the $2.3 million it actually fetched. Man gives up his pet Ornate Golden Baboon Spider
2007-08-17 15:09:41
Suffolk animal rescue officials were today called in to a man’s house in Rocky Point as he wanted to give up his pet spider. But it is not just any spider it is in fact an Ornate Golden Baboon spider. The man decided that he did not want his pet anymore, maybe it has something to do with its venom is as toxic as a scorpion and the fact that the spider will live for up to 25 years. The Ornate Golden Baboon Spider had to be taken away by the Suffolk Society for the Protection of Animals. SPCA Chief Roy Gross said about the spider “This will make a regular tarantula look docile,” “It doesn’t take anything to tick it off, and it jumps three feet.” The body of the spider is both large and fat, the body and legs are also very hairy which gives the Ornate Golden Baboon Spider a more bulky look. Toxic Magazine not loading or running very slow: Why?
2007-08-17 12:53:59
My cousin has said to me that he had trouble going on the Toxic Magazine website, so I tried to go on the site purely to help my cousin out honest. Well I did try and I did get the site up, but it was looking very strange indeed. Well when I saw that toxicmagazine.com website would not load I started to wonder why, after much searching I think I have the answer, well two anyway. One answer could be that people are searching for Britney Spears with the word toxic in a lot and maybe in has slowed their server down. Another reason could be with Google Trends, I have noticed that Toxic Magazine has been a high searched term and that could be causing problems for the site. The problem is how long will the site be down for? Written by Peter for Product ReviewsIn Sections: News ...
Putin Orders Russia to Restart Cold War Patrols: What Do You Think?
2007-08-17 12:42:41
Russia has currently taken the harsh decision to undergo a Soviet-era practice of sending out its dangerous bomber aircrafts on long-range flights designed to protect the country against code-red style situations, with President Vladimir Putin behind it all. Mr Putin said “the move to resume the flights permanently after a 15-year suspension was in response to security threats posed by other military powers.” Apparently, about 14 of these bombers have taken off from Russian grounds recently, around Friday time. What do you think of the situation? Is Putin being unnecessarily harsh? Or just doing what he needs to, to protect his people? Let us know how you feel.
