Cadbury Is Bringing Back The Wispa Bar Thanks To Internet Campaigners 2007-08-18 08:07:19 Great news for all you chocolate lovers out there because Cadbury is bringing back the Wispa bar in response to demand from internet campaigners. Cadbury will re-launch the Eighties favourite chocolate bar in October for a limited period only this comes four years after the Wispa was dropped because of declining sales. The Birmingham-based chocolate firm said the comeback was a response to online petitions and campaigns on social networking sites such as Facebook and Bebo because of all this Cadbury are going to produce around 23 million Wispa bars packaged in the original blue wrappers for the relaunch I will be 100% buying some of these bars. The Wispa Bar was first launched as a pilot in 1981 and was rolled out nationally two years later. The Wispa Bar fuses dark chocolate and Cadbury’s dairy milk in a bar which is interlaced with bubbles. It has been said that the Wispa will sell for a recommended price of 42p per bar. NBA Referee Tim Donaghy Admits Betting Scandal: Gambino Mafia Ties 2007-08-18 07:57:08 In news that is shocking the entire NBA, referee Tim Donaghy has pleaded guilty to passing betting tips to professional gamblers and Tim Donaghy also bet on NBA games he refereed in. This NBA betting scandal is part of an FBI investigation linked with the mafia crime organisation, the Gambino Mafia family. Tim Donaghy has been a NBA referee for 13 years but he told the judge: “I was in a unique position to predict the outcome of NBA games. Some of my picks included games I had been assigned to referee.” Tim Donaghy has also said he is seeking treatment for a gambling addiction. He passed informally and tips on NBA he officiated in to James “Baba” Battista, a professional gambler also known as “Sheep”, and Thomas Martino, who are apparently linked with the Gambino Mafia family. Six People Missing After Hotel Fire: Penhallow Hotel in Newquay, Cornwall 2007-08-18 05:07:24 The four-storey Penhallow Hotel in Newquay, Cornwall caught fire last night/this morning which police called “a major incident”. The hotel guests were said to be mostly elderly, now after the Cornwall Hotel fire the building that is left is just a shell. After all the mayhem it has left one person confirmed dead and six others that are missing, police are saying that Newquay is a lively town with 24/7 nightlife and people could still be out but I find this hard to believe when they also say most of the hotel gusts were elderly. Two adjoining hotels were evacuated after the flames spread under the roof and other hotels as well have been evacuated near by, police have said these people may be able to get back in the hotels by around 5pm. An investigation has begun to find out what caused the fire and the ideal of a crime being commented has not been ruled out.
