The Heidi Montag Single: Star from MTV’s reality show The Hills is not happy 2007-08-21 00:11:21 The Heidi Montag Single was meant to be released another time, but star of the very popular MTV reality TV show “The Hills” is not very happy as her music hit the airwaves last Thursday. Ryan Seacrest played her single “Body Language” on his radio show last week and this was something Heidi Montag apparently did not want. According to Spencer Pratt (her fiancé and fellow Hills star) she was planning on releasing a single, but the selection made by Seacrest was not what she wanted the world to hear first. Spencer Pratt has apparently said his rap skills would only appear on Heidi’s single “over my dead body.” So this further more confirms they both did not want the recording released. Time will now tell if Heidi Montag should stick to filming season three of The Hills and forget about music or make a career out of it. GreenPoint Mortgage are the whole banking unit of Capital One Financial Corporation, they are to pull out effective immediately. All 31 locations of Greenpoint are to close with the loss of 1,900 jobs. Greenpoint are just the latest casualty of mortgage meltdown in the U.S. This mortgage company specializes in jumbo mortgages of $417,000 and above. Philippines earthquake with a magnitude of 6.5 hits Island Of Mindanao 2007-08-20 12:47:52 An earthquake has hit the Philippines on the Island Of Mindanao with a magnitude of 6.5; the earthquake was only shallow with the epicenter just 6.3 mile deep just 225 km east of Davao City and happened at 7:46 AM MDT. People are now worrying that there could be a Tsunami as an after affect, but as yet there have not been any warnings. Also there have not been any reports of any damage. The Cayman Islands did not fair to badly as hurricane dean spared the islands a lot of its power. However hurricane dean is now moving towards the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico and it is gathering power. According to the U.S. National Hurricane Center, hurricane dean will reach a category 5 in power before it hits the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico, before moving across the Yucatan Peninsula to the Gulf of Campeche which is cover with oil rigs. There were concerns of a possible bankruptcy after days where shares in Countrywide Financial fell the most since the stock market crash of 1987. Now there is more bad news coming from Countrywide Financial, the biggest mortgage lender in the USA. Countrywide layoffs are apparently going to be taking place to help the company survive the credit crunch taking place in the financial markets at the moment. So far it is unclear how many employees will lose their jobs in the Countrywide layoffs but the company has 61,000 employees. This list of names is now maintained by the World Meteorological Organization, hurricanes were only named after women but that changed in 1979 as men’s names were then used. The reason for using Christian names because it was thought that using latitude-longitude co-ordinates is far less confusing for warning people. There are always names on a list that are used for these hurricanes, the list of Hurricane names for 2007 are Andrea, Barry, Chantal, Dean, Erin, Felix, Gabrielle, Humberto, Ingrid, Jerry, Karen, Lorenzo, Melissa, Noel, and Olga.
