Who Does The Internet Want To See As President? 2007-08-22 11:09:12 We all have our opinion on who we want to see as the next US President, but who is the candidate that the internet is picking to be President? It looks like Obama is topping the internet popularity contests at the moment with Hilary Clinton hot on his heels. Next up is Ron Paul who, to be honest has become an internet legend, gaining support from internet surfers across the world due to his position that the internet should not be regulated and immediate withdrawal from Iraq. Fred Thompson and Mitt Romney came next followed by John Edwards. What I found interesting was that the most searched for term in relation to Hilary Clinton was “cleavage”. Not saying that everyone isn’t taking Clinton seriously as a Presidential candidate or anything but other candidate were getting things like tax and “Iraq war” although Obama did get “anti-Christ” as a related search. Extremely Popular Samsung U600 or the Sony Ericsson W580i 2007-08-22 10:24:28 The UK Mobile Contract Tracker charts have shown to hot mobile phones in first and second places. In the number one spot it’s the extremely popular Samsung U600 which has been unbeatable for the last three months, but now the Sony Ericsson W580i music slider phone has jumped up 19 spots to take 2nd place in just 2 weeks. Could this phone be the one to knock the Samsung U600 from its long-standing pole position? I am not sure how much Carphone Warehouse has had to-do with the Sony Ericsson W580i success, but by them offering a free Nintendo Wii with the W580i on an 18-month O2 contract has helped. Early Returns From King County Elections 2007-08-22 09:33:14 The King County Election looks to be in good form with the first results expected to be announced later today. Results so far for the King County Elections are as follows For the next King County prosecutor Bill Sherman is the clear favorite receiving 61% of the vote and Keith Scully just 37%. For the position of Port Commission there is a closer race, with first time candidate Gael Tarleton gaining 31% and second place Bob Edwards with only 28% of the votes. King County Elections have not paid off however, for a write in candidacy for Brad Larssen, as his rival Richard Pope is receiving a massive 84% of the votes so far. In a bid for a Seattle City Council Position Bruce Harrell is firmly second place with 26%, and Venus Velazquez is leading with 40%   How do you think the King County Election results will change as more votes are counted? Nintendo Wii vs what? There is no competition 2007-08-22 09:30:44 Just the other day I posted about getting a Sony PS3, you can read more about that here (basically I own a Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360 and was thinking of getting a Playstation 3 for Blu-ray). The feedback was very helpful and thanks to all that left a comment, but I was thinking about the Nintendo Wii again after I had a few people over and we played for hours on it. The Nintendo Wii really has no competition as it’s in a totally different league. I got up today and have been playing Ghost Recon 2 on the 360 and had a good time, but the Nintendo Wii could not give me that kind of gaming as it’s not meant too. The Sony PS3 and the Xbox 360 are competitors, but the Nintendo Wii is second to none for gaming with a group of people in the same room (the amount of fun is fantastic, well that depends who you play with). Bioshock Revolutionary Xbox 360 and PC Game vs Halo 3 king of first person shooters 2007-08-22 09:10:33 I have always known Halo as the king of first person shooters (in my opinion), but currently the revolutionary Xbox 360 and PC game Bioshock is getting major attention. As it’s hitting the shelves this week that would be expected but then many are claiming Bioshock to be one of the biggest first person shooters for along time, this maybe thanks to the amount of atmosphere in the game. Personally I feel nothing is going to top Halo 3 when its released next month, this game will make the Xbox 360 that much more wanted (they need it because of the damage the problems have caused). Illegal Gun Case: Sanjay Dutt Released On Bail 2007-08-22 09:08:12 Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt was released on bail by India’s Supreme Court yesterday, citing a technicality weeks after he was convicted for illegally possessing guns which were ties to the 1993 bombings in Mumbai where a mammoth 257 people were killed. Dutt has gained bail because the Mumbai court that convicted him hadn’t provided him with a copy of his sentence. Sanjay was convicted way back in November and sentenced on July 31st of this year to six years in prison for possessing a pistol and three automatic rifles. Video of the 4×4 Waverunner: ATV to Jet Ski 2007-08-22 07:31:06 Just come across this video the 4×4 Waverunner, for those of you who do not know what that is then you should check out this awesome video below. The first thing you will notice is that the 4×4 Waverunner is just like any normal ATV, as you see it riding around in the mud just like any other All Terrain Vehicle. But that then changes when it rides into the water and the wheels lift up, just like the DeLorean does in Back to the Future. Now the 4X4 Wave runner has become a Jet Ski, so you can now have twice as much fun zipping across the water. This does look like a great prototype but there will be a few bugs that have to be worked out. Another problem that I have is with the wheel mechanism, it has to be very strong or it will not take long to break. So if the 4×4 Waverunner went into production would you get one for yourself? This toy, well its more than a toy in the eye’s of Google, you will get the chance to see what the night sky looks like from where you are. What you have to do is enter your postcode, then you will get an image up of what the night sky would look like from your back garden, how cool is that you do not have to move from your PC to see the stars. The software that is used on Google Sky uses a library of images that has been taken from a range of telescopes across the world; there are also images from the NASA’s Hubble Telescope which is in Space. You can even zoom in on the image so you can get an even closer look at the planets, stars, constellations and galaxies. Google have access to over 100 million stars and 200 million galaxies, and the great thing is users can travel millions of light-years with just the click of their mouse. John Isaacs is hilarious in all his films and even if the film is a flop he can somehow rescue it. Melissa George, aside from being gorgeous, has never really had an amazing lead role and always seems sweet. The two have been cast in the latest film from Jan De Bont which is titled Stopping Power. Jan De Bont is best known for as the director of one of the best action flicks of the nineties - Speed. Since then, he’s been hit and miss with his movies. Stopping Power follows the story of a man racing to rescue his kidnapped daughter. Doesn’t sound very good? Well let me tell you a little something that could change your mind.
