Ford Ironman Louisville: Is this the hardest endurance test ever? 2007-08-26 12:23:21 There have been many events that have seemed like very hard endurance tests but many see the Ironman as the hardest. The people who participate in this have to do a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile cycle a 26.2 mile run.Over 2,100 people have registered for this event, the event starts at 6.50 am and athletes are given until 12.00 midnight to finish the race, the fastest of the athletes will finish about 3.00pm while the slowest will still be cycling when the event finishes. Merkel will also be attending the opening ceremony of a series of cultural activities that will be held in major Chinese cities celebrate 35 years of German-Chinese diplomatic ties. This new crossover is from the crosshairs brand, and will be an international car which is why Dodge has decided on an international debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show. When you look underneath the car it is actually based on an Avenger, well the Chassis anyway, although the wheelbase is 4.9-inches longer. The design of the Dodge has the classic crossover look, while trying to maintain Dodge features. The Chicago Triathlon: Is it safe? 2007-08-26 11:47:13 The Chicago Triathlon has been going for many years and has become traditional event every year, many people train all year for the event and dedicate their life’s to train for the three types of races (swimming, cycling and running) which is a very hard thing to master but is it really that safe? The cycling and running parts of the event are fine, may be very tiring but still safe but the swimming part is not safe at all. In the swimming part of the event contenders have to race through Lake Michigan which lately has proven to be a very dirty place. In the Chicago Tribute it was said that “storm water and untreated sewage” was released into the lake because of the extreme weather lately. An impressive 22 of these were during the first half of gameplay. Mexico basketball coach Nolan Richardson put the win down to pure hard work and effort, “That was our 20th game since May 21. USA once again win, beating Canada at basketball 2007-08-26 09:40:34 It appears the USA are keen to reclaim their status as the world’s best country for basketball, as they beat the Canadian International team in the FIBA Americas tournament.The USA aren’t just beating teams, they’re annialhating them. They defeated Venezuela by 43 points, Virgin Islands by 64 and now Canada by 50, in a 116-63 win. USA’s Small forward LeBron James said “We want to play with killer instinct”. Total Lunar Eclipse on Aug 28th: moon will turn bloody red 2007-08-26 06:32:40 On Tuesday August 28th there will be a total lunar eclipse, if you’re lucky enough to be able to see it the moon will turn bloody red. This is apparently the first central lunar eclipse since 2000 and when the moon aligns with the Earth and the sun, the extraordinary event will start at 5:52 p.m. on Aug 28th. The whole of North America should be able to witness some portion of the eclipse, but western observers are said to be getting the best look. What happens during this type of eclipse is the full moon will take on a dark red color as it will be illuminated slightly by sunlight passing through the Earth’s atmosphere. They call this a “Blood Moon eclipse”. Disney Channel Show Hannah Montana Sued 2007-08-26 05:09:11 It has been reported that the Walt Disney Company has been sued by a writer who says the company stole from him the idea for its Disney Channel show Hannah Montana. The Hannah Montana show about a teenage girl who lives a secret life as a pop star was launched in 2006 and it quickly became Disney Channels top series. It has been reported that on Thursday Morris Taylor Buddy Sheffield filed suit against the company in Los Angeles. In the suit, Morris said that he pitched the idea to Disney Channel executives in 2001 for a show about a junior high school boy who led a secret life as a pop star so he has filed charges of breach of contract, breach of confidence, unfair competition and unjust enrichment.
