Toy Recall News: Library Recalls Toys Due to Lead Paint 2007-08-28 04:11:07 It has been reported that more toys are being recalled because of lead problem in them. But this time it is from a local library that rewards kids for reading with toy prizes. The Greenwood Public Library has issued a toy recall on the six inch bendable dinosaur and the toys were made in China. When the library recently had all their give away toys tested for lead this one came back positive. It has been said that if any of your children have got one then you are to bring them back to the library. The library has posted recall notices in their building and on their website. Keanu Reeves to star in 20th Century Fox remake of The Day The Earth Stood Still 2007-08-28 03:20:39 Matrix star Keanu Reeves has signed on to star in the remake of The Day The Earth Stood Still. Reeves will play Klattu, an alien who arrives on Earth with the company of Gort, a large humanoid robot. Klattu delivers a message to world leaders stating that their continued aggression will lead to annihilation by species from afar. The 20th Century Fox remake will be directed by Scott Derrickson (The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Hellraiser: Inferno) and was written by David Scarpa (The Last Castle). Warner Bros have asked director Tim Burton to ‘butcher’ his own film, cutting it from an R-rated Movie to a PG-13 MPAA. According to reports, the early footage from the film was so violently bloody that the studio executives have become squeamish and have requested the film to be re-cut. A report in the Daily Mail has said, “Tim’s not happy that the studio is asking for so many cuts to the cutting, as it were.
