County Jail 2007-08-30 03:37:52 It seems that last Sunday R&B star El Debarge was arrested for domestic violence and is currently in an L.A. County Jail. Debarge, real name Eldra last had a big hit back in 1985 with the Motown hit Rhythm of the Night, you might not know this but his brother James was married to Janet Jackson although it was just a brief marriage. Although the L.A. County District Attorney rejected the charge of domestic violence, Debarge still is not a free man as he has several outstanding warrants these include driving with a suspended license, drugs and also vandalism. Exorcist Director Sues Security Company After His Bel Air Home Was Burgled 2007-08-30 03:22:03 Director of the cult horror flick The Exorcist and former President of Paramount Pictures have sued ADT security services after claiming that the company made them “unwitting targets for home invasion”. The law suit, filed yesterday in Los Angeles County Superior Court has stated that William Friedkin and Sherry Lansing entered into a contract with ADT for their home in Bel-Air. The claim to have made the deal because ADT represented that it “makes your home 3 times less likely to be burglarized.” While the couple were on holiday outside the country last December, the alarm sounded. The suit claims that it took ADT one hour and forty-five minutes for a patrolman to arrive. Allegedly the patrolman came and went without notifying the police or investigating the scene. Only a year ago there was another recall of spinach after three people died and 200 more fell sick due to E. coli being found in spinach. The spinach that has been recalled was distributed In 48 states as well as Canada, the recall covers 8,118 cases of spinach, the company has said that over 90 percent of their bagged spinach was on hold and will not be released. Although only a single sample from three bags of spinach was found to have salmonella, Metz Fresh LLC said that as a precautionary measure they decided to recall all of the spinach. In the recall it covers the 10- and 16-ounce bags; also the recall covers the 4-pound cartons and also the cartons that contain four 2.5-pound bags.
