Lindsay Lohan Rehab: Estranged Father, Michael Can Pay Her A Visit 2007-08-30 06:42:30 Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan has reportedly agreed to let her estranged father, Michael to visit her in rehab. The father and daughter have had numerous public slanging matches in the past had have had a rocky relationship over the years. Lindsay, who has starred in films such as Mean Girls and Just My Luck, is currently seeking counselling at a Utah clinic. Allowing her father to pay a visit has meant her mother, Dina, having to life a restraining order that was placed on her ex-husband earlier this year. According to the New York Post, “It was actually (Lindsay’s) younger brother, Michael’s, idea. It’s a part of the healing process. Lindsay will see him later this week, but she will have counsellors with her. It will not be alone. Dina thinks it is a good idea. Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards has demanded apologies 2007-08-30 06:28:40 Rolling Stone’s loud mouthed guitarist Keith Richards has demanded that two Swedish newspapers apologise for publishing bad reviews of one of the band’s recent gigs on their world tour. Keith Richards, in a letter to the concert promoters wrote, ““Never before have I risen to the bait of a bad review. You owe our fans and us an apology.” Newspaper Expressen used the headline “Keith was super drunk”, giving the 63 year-old no stars for his performance. The second reviewer in the equation, in the paper Aftonbladet has refused to apologise for his “subjective opinion”. and gave the whole show a measly 2 stars. China Insurance Regulator: special regulations for pension insurance business 2007-08-30 05:44:03 The Shanghai Securities News has reported that China’s insurance regulator is working at constituting special regulations on managing the pension insurance business. Liang Tao, director of the China Insurance Regulatory Commission personal insurance regulatory department has said the move will ensure insurance companies that handle corporate annuities are able to pay expired debts and future liabilities, avoiding risks during managing annuities and protecting the beneficiary’s legitimate rights and interests. The Ministry of Labour and Social Security’s (MLSS) statistics show that the corporate annuity fund, coving 9.64 million people, had 91 billion yuan in assets in 2006 with only 15.8 billion yuan of that (17%) being managed by professional investors. 30 financial institutions are currently designated as custodians, trustees and asset managers for corporate annuity management. Hidden Message in Metroid 3: maybe Satoru Iwata, Nintendo’s president 2007-08-30 04:16:54 According to a user on Game Trailers and the video clip below, there seems to be a hidden message in Metroid 3 and it may even be Satoru Iwata (Nintendo’s President). The user found the message while they were playing around with the radio in Samus’s ship in Metroid Prime 3, although I don’t understand Japanese (maybe someone can let us all know what the message is saying).
