Microsoft and Nokia in talks over Windows Mobile 2008-02-08 07:55:56 We got a preemptive taste of what something like this might feel like with that banged up impostor-phone, the “Nokia” N94i — but now things are getting real… ish. According to Microsoft’s mobile communications business international marketing director (phew) John Starkweather, Redmond is in talks with the folks from Finland about getting Windows Mobile onto Nokia handsets. “They obviously have significant investments in Symbian but there are a lot of places where we have significant synergies and we would love to see the day where those synergies would extend completely with Windows Mobile,” said Starkweather, though he couldn’t say when or if any agreement will be met. “We work closely with Nokia and we would love to have them go all the way,” Starkweather said. “It’s something we talk about all the time.” MORE… ShareThis ... So while sending an email message to a large group of friends using Gmail, read the following rules to avoid temporary shut-down of Gmail: Rule 1. Undersea cables snap in Egypt, Internet slows down 2008-01-31 08:19:33 If you are facing problems with your broadband Internet connection, that’s because several undersea cables have snapped in Alexandria, Egypt. Snapping of undesea cables through the Mediterranean has affected communication links and slowed down Internet services across continents. In India too, users faced problems after the cables snapped.   The cable network belonging to the Flag Telecom and SMW-4 project are the ones badly affected.   SMW-4 is a submarine cable system linking South East Asia to Europe via the Indian Sub-Continent and Middle East.   Indian telecom operators Bharti and VSNL own stakes in SMW-4. My adventure with windows xp sp3 rc 2008-01-06 11:26:00 ok ppl after a 3hrs wait i downloaded the windows xp sp3 rc (336mb) n very quickly i installed it… bt after the restart to my surprise my flyakite osx theme ws gone… bt the transformation pack traces were still visible… after some googling i realized dt it ws sp3’s uxtheme.dll that ws responsible.. so i removed osx transformation pack n downloaded the vista transformation pack 8.01 which ac. to users is compatible with xp-sp3 but evrytime i started the installation setup crashed.. ds ws due to intel graphics driver so i uninstalled it n installed a standby dell graphics driver i got from net n then i installed vtp 8.01 bt still same problem transformation done but no vista theme.. problem:-uxtheme.dll not supported on this os… then after some more search i got a soln.. i downloaded the patched uxtheme.dll file for my version of xp-sp3 release candidate n now hw to use it manually.. first rename uxtheme.backup in system32 to _uxtheme.backup dn rename u ...
