Poor Man's Apple TV

This is a very cool mod. It is not really like the Apple TV at all, but it is cool nonetheless. Someone thought it would be cool to increase the size of the small iPod Nano screen, so that it would be easier to watch. To do so, he modified an old slide viewer to fit his Nano in it. By doing so, the video playing would be enlarged to fit the viewers screen, and viola, you have a larger screen for easy viewing. It looks fairly simple to do, but the screen itself is fairly large. Very cool though, one problem is that you have to set it so your movies play upside down, as the way you insert the iPod is upside down. Cloverfield Review

So, I saw the much talked about movie Cloverfield today. Since I first saw the trailer for the then unnamed movie back in the Summer, I wanted to see this movie pretty badly. I mean, how can you not want to see a movie with a trailer that just shows something hitting a building and people screaming? Well, first off, the movies is not really what I expected. The whole basis is very vague, no information is given to you, at all. The movie starts out with the main character Rob filming in an apartment. At first, the whole "movie filmed like a home movie" thing seemed fine, but when you realize that the whole movie will be like this, it is kind of a dissapointment. Though, the filming style fits the movie perfectly. The premise is that these alien creatures land in Manhattan, NY, and start attacking the city. Resistance: Fall of Man Review

Now that I have had this game for almost a month, I have decided to review it. For starters, I have decided to make my reviews more organized, and easier to read. So I will format them with separate sections: Story, Gameplay, Graphics/Sound, Replay Value, and Overall. Each category is pretty much self explanatory and will be scored out of 5, and in the Overall section I will say whether it is fun, and whether it would be a good buy, and add up the 4 categories, divide by 2, and give it a score out of 10. Well, I haven't done this in a while, so here it is. This is your monthly update on the sales of the Nintendo Wii, Sony Playstation 3, and Microsoft Xbox 360 according to www.vgchartz.com. I realized that the other site, www.nexgenwars.com was innacurrate in their tallying. So here goes...Microsoft Xbox 360 - 16.48 Million Sold.Nintendo Wii - 19.94 Million Sold.Sony Playstation 3 - 9.22 Million Sold.As you can see, the Wii and 360 are nearly doubling the PS3 sales, but, with the new addition of the $399 40GB model, the PS3 is slowly catching up to what used to be a complete blowout. About a week ago Iposted about all the rumors that were circling around Apple's Macworld event. Now that Steve Jobs has done his keynote, there is a ton of new tings coming out of Apple. So here we go... (More details at Engadget).The extremely thin Macbook Air notebook was revealed, with the addition of an iPhone-esque multi-touch pad.You will soon be able to add the 5 apps to the iPod Touch for $20 (all of which are already on the iPhone, also if you buy a new iPod Touch it will come with the apps preloaded).iPhone / iPod Touch firmware 1.1.3 update was announced.There was a nice Apple TV update, with new streaming features and the ability to directly access iTunes.iTunes movie rentals was also announced, allowing users to rent HD and SD movies for 1 day for $2.99 for regular movies and up to $3.99 for new releases.Overall a very jam-packed keynote by Mr. Jobs. New Wii Colors On The Way?

This is somewhat interesting. Apparently on a Target reciept, the Wii's coming in stock have been labeled as "Wii White". I guess before it was just Wii, or Wii Console. I'm sure this is pure speculation, but it's been going around the internet that the defining a color on the reciept could mean that there are different colored Wii's on the way, as Nintendo had promised way before launch. Seems cool to me, I'm not a huge fan of blinding white products. Awesome Alienware Display

This got a lot of attention at CES, and you can see why. Alienware, the high-end gaming PC maker, has created a TV like no other. For starters, it is huge, and extremely wide. The really cool thing about it though is that it is curved. It is almost like if you were in an Imax theater. Very cool, I hope some day I can get one... Rock Band Stage Kit

When I saw this I thought it was a joke. It is a little add-on for the music game Rock Band. The "Stage Kit" comes with lights and a smoke machine. I'm assuming this is for those people that are really into the game, and feel this is necessary, but honestly, who would spend $100 on this... And yes, it is $100 added onto the already expensive $170 Rock Band game. Whoever buys this, if anyone ever does, deserves to be stripped of a credit card. Guitar Hero 3 Kid

This video has been gathering a lot of attention, and for a good reason. This 9 year old kid beat one of the hardest songs in Guitar Hero 3, and got a good score on it. I myself have beaten this song, as displayed in a previous post, but I have not done it as good as this kid. No question, he is very good, but I am pretty sure he has no life.
