Guitar Hero Encore: Rock the 80's 2007-06-28 18:25:00 Just today the Release date, July 24th, and full song list were unveiled for Guitar Hero Encore: Rock the 80's. This PS2 only version will be somewhat of a remake of GH2, just with new 80's style characters, songs, and menus. As the title suggests, every song on this game will be from the 80's, so you can expect long hair, make up, and good tunes to be on this game. I've been looking forward to this a lot, as I have said in a previous post. This will hold me off till GH3 comes out, supposedly this fall. PDA's / Smartphones 2007-06-27 21:49:00 I've been looking at the Palm PDAs for a while now. They seem to be really cool and all, with music and video capabilities, WiFi, and all the other 3rd party apps that can be downloaded. But I thought about it, and I can't see myself using one of em daily. Sure it would be great for trips, or waiting in lines, but thats all it would be good for. But unlike most people I don't organize, or schedule things, so it varies between people. I have also looked at the smart phones on the market right now. They look really cool, and have great features, but they are so expensive. Plus no good ones are on my carrier, Sprint. In the next year i'm hoping for a reasonably priced smart phone to come out. Or at least a new PDA that is more media centric...Heck, I should just get the Archos 605 WiFi , which is a little more reasonably priced, for what it can do. The Most Hyped Gadget in History is Almost Here. 2007-06-26 21:57:00 No, i'm not talking about the new Microsoft Zune "Scorpio", and i bet no one thought i was. Of course i will talk briefly about the iPhone, and the few reviews that have come out today. Most of the reviews have pointed out the flaws of the iPhone, and not much time has been spent praising it. Though the time isn't needed because the reviewers sum it up quite nicely. So, I have some good news and bad news. The good news is that: The battery life is about what Apple had bodly claimed, around 8 hours of talk time, ~7 hours of video, ~6 hours of internet use, and a whopping day of audio playback. It is also supposed to be scratch resistant, unlike it's iPod cousin which would get a scratch before you even use it for the first time. And the last good thing is that Apple will provide updates, so if anything goes wrong, it will be easily fixed. School of Rock 2007-06-24 20:07:00 Now, i hope you have all seen the movie School of Rock with Black Jack in it, if not, go see it. Well for the next week I will be attending a summer camp that has the same premise behind the movie. The Paul Green School of Rock was put together by Paul Green, obviously, and it shows kids what it's like to be a rock star. The kids will practice playing old and new rock songs with people they have never met. With a show on Friday. I am saying this because I may not post as much as I have been, but I will try my best to keep up with the two posts a day. This camp is real fun, as I did it last year. If any parents out there have kids that play, or want to play instruments, this is a great experience. Manhunt 2 2007-06-23 17:23:00 Over the last week the new Rockstar game has gotten a lot of buzz. Manhunt 2 was to be released relatively soon, but the ESRB had given it an AO (Adults Only) rating. It supposedly has more blood and gore than any other game. Due to this AO rating, the game can not be released for the two consoles it was meant for, because Sony, and Nintendo do not allow AO games on their systems. Rockstar has responded and decided to postpone the game. No one knows for sure what they will do. It is possible they could port to PC, or just tone down the gore a little bit. Personally i say they just tone it down, it wouldn't be that hard, and it would sell better due to the publicity, as well as it being on multiple consoles.==>LINKLINK ...

Lan Party 2007-06-22 19:30:00 The reason why i have not posted yet today, was because i was at a LAN party with my friends. It was pretty fun. We mostly played Counter Strike: Source. So i had to lug my huge desktop, as well as my laptop (one of my friends couldn't bring his computer), and I forgot a bunch of cords too. It was really funny, because we were being jerks and screaming over the mic, and playing text-to-speech stuff on the mics as well.
