Windows Vista
2007-08-12 17:16:00
Well yesterday my grandma got a new HP computer, her first in 6 years, that came with Vista. Now, I hadn't played with it much, so I decided to head over to her house and have a test run, and also because she said she would pay me if I gave her a lesson. Anyway, I thought it was pretty neat, It looked cool, a couple cool graphical features. The preinstalled games (Solitare, Pinball, etc.) looked cool. But that was about all that changed. The look of it, and the names of things, plus an added sidebar, reminiscent of the Google Desktop Search thing. It was somewhat confusing, as I had said before, all the names of things were changed from XP, so that would be a slight learning curve for me if I ended up getting a new PC. Overall I thought it was cool. I know it's been a while since Vista came out, but I hadn't gotten the chance to really play around with it. I heard it had a lot of bugs, so that's why I ain't getting it yet, I'll wait till the first service pack... Thank you for su ...
The Hobbit Movie?
2007-08-11 22:52:00
Quick Post -- Well, theres a rumor of sorts going around that Peter Jackson, the director of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, will be back again, directing the prequel The Hobbit. I think this is great. Over the years there has never been a good Hobbit movie, most of them being animated kids VHS tapes. I can't wait. No word on when, or if it's true, but it would sure be cool. I loved the Lord of the Rings movies. Thank you for subscribing to my blog! ...

High-Tech Virgin America Airline
2007-08-10 21:24:00
Virgin America Airlines has introduced new planes with ultra high-tech cabins. These planes will come with all the gadgets and unnecesary, yet cool things to keep you occupied while on a 10 hour flight. There will be WiFi availiable on board, that's right, on board. This is a first, or one of the few airlines to have this availiable. Along with that there are ethernet ports by every seat, as well as socket plug-ins for your cell phone and MP3 chargers. Along with all this, they announced a new "Red" entertainment system. In the head back of every seat there will be a touch screen, along with a little remote with a QWERTY keyboard and some navigation controls. This system will include the ability to watch/listen to/play movies, music, satelite TV, and games. Also you can chat with other people on board that are watching the same program as you, which is pretty neat. Can't wait to fly on one of these suckers. No more sleeping on airplanes for me :)Thank you for subscribing to my blog! ...

First WiMax Device
2007-08-09 23:36:00
The Nokia N800 will be the first device to run on Sprints WiMax network. Which is the 4G, really fast broadband network. This is the supposed next-gen widespread WiFi. The Nokia N800 Internet Tablet will replace the previous Nokia Internet Tablet that, from what I heard, wasn't a great success...Anyways this is a great step towards high network speeds on our phones. No one knows how much this thing will cost, or how much the WiMax will cost, but it shouldn't be too expensive. WiMax will be availiable in Chicago, Baltimore, and Washington DC at launch, with 19 more cities added by the end of 2008.Thank you for subscribing to my blog! ...

2007-08-09 14:47:00
Quick Post -- When I saw this I just had to post it. It's a video of a guy playing this giant Gibson Flying V guitar. Surprisingly it works. It looks to be 3, or 4 times the original size. I have no idea how he can lift the thing. Well, heres the video, and if you click this ==>LINK ...
Awesome Case Mod
2007-08-08 22:21:00
Earlier I came across this pure awesome PC case mod. It is a near 7 foot tall Optimus Prime. And as I have said, it is AWESOME. It looks like an old action figure, blown up, with computer parts in it. This guy did a very good job at making this, and probably took a long long time. And surprisingly it's pretty powerful, with 2 graphics cards, and other high-powered components. This sucker must have costed a lot to make. Well, enjoy the picture.Thank you for subscribing to my blog! ...
New iMacs
2007-08-08 14:20:00
Well it's official. Yesterday Apple released their all new iMac line. Coming in a very slim, and stylish form factor, these iMacs are pretty cool I would say. Having the computer in the monitor is a great space saver, and very convienient if you move your computer around a lot. These new machines will come in 4 different models: a $1,199 20 inch model, $1,499 beefed up 20 inch model, and $1,799 and $2,299 24 inch higher end models. All tech specs can be found here. Also with the new iMacs comes a new keyboard, which is a lot like the Macbook keyboard. Very flat, stylish, and tactile buttons. Apple is starting to shape up the Mac branding. If there were any decent games for Macs I might consider getting one. But that will never happen...Also Steve Jobs anounced an all new iLife '08 suite, which includes iPhoto, iMovie, Garage Band, iWeb, iDVD, and .Mac Web Gallery. Another software anouncement was the release of iWork '08. Which now includes Pages ’08, Keynote ’08, and Numbers ...
I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry Review
2007-08-07 23:06:00
Well, I was bored yesterday, with nothing to do at the beach, so I decided to see another movie, and from the title of the post I bet you know what it is. This movie, starring Adam Sandler and Kevin James is a comedy about two guys that go into a fake domestic partnership to reap legal benefits. It is really funny I would say. A lot of gay humor, but in the end it is not as controversial as it seems it would be, and if you have seen it you will understand. I liked this movie a lot, good Adam Sandler comedy bits, and all his regular buddies that are in all of his movies. As well as a couple of guys from Kevin James' show King of Queens. Overall I thought it was a solid comedy. It's no Oscar winner, but a hit nonetheless. If you like any of Adam, or Kevin's stuff you will enjoy this film. I would give it an 8/10.Thank you for subscribing to my blog! ...

Harry Potter 5 / 300 Movie Review
2007-08-05 19:36:00
Well, I decided to see "Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix" and I have to say, it was pretty good. Despite reading the book already, I enjoyed it, mostly because I had forgotten the plot. The special effects were great, and the acting good. I liked the style, as it is much more dark and creepier than the previous movies. Though it is very alike to them all. Good movie, if you are a fan or not it will be entertaining. But there are some drawbacks. There isn't too much action, so it got boring at times. Also the ending was pretty lame, almost hurried. I give it an 8.5/10Now, yestderday I bought the blockbuster movie 300 on DVD, and I, unlike many many people, had not seen it yet. Well I loved it. Action packed, good story, good acting, good CGI and fight scenes. I loved the comic book like style, and the gore was treated well. Great, entertaining, fun movie. Can't wait to see it again, as I watched it in the wee hours of the night, so I had the volume real low and heard very lit ...
