Next Gen Consoles Monthly Update #1 2007-08-30 23:53:00 Well, I decided to do a monthly update of the next generation console wars. Each month I will post the Nintendo Wii, Sony Playstation 3, and Microsoft Xbox 360 number of sales according to www.nexgenwars.com. Then I will compare it to previous months and voice my opinions. Enjoy :)In First place: Xbox 360 - 11,230,000 Sold2nd Place: Wii - 10,370,000 Sold3rd Place - PS3 - 4,350,000 SoldAs you can see, the Wii really is the dominant console. It has been out not even half the time the 360 has, and has sold almost as much as the Xbox. I believe it is solely due to that amazingly low price point, and innovative controller. Also if you would have looked at the PS3 numbers a month ago, they would have been around a million lower. Since the $100 price cut was announced for the PS3 the sales have sky rocketed. All New Microsoft Zunes 2007-08-30 20:38:00 It's finally true, the Zune 2 pictures have surfaced, as well as a flash based Zune player. The picture shows new slimmer, and stylish 80gb Zune 2's. While also sporting a couple smaller 4gb and 8gb ones that are remniscent of Apples iPod Nano. These players are sure to set off a new direction in the MP3 player buisiness. Windows Vista SP1 2007-08-29 20:33:00 Well many people have been waiting for the first service pack to everyones favorite OS (joke, HAHA), Windows Vista. I myself have not had any problems due to the fact that I am not running Vista. But I have heard countless acts of complaining for one thing or another that Vista does/doesn't do, or does wrong. So, Microsoft has listened and a patch is on the way. The Service Pack is due out Quarter 1 2008. May be too long to wait to fix the problems, but I say it's good that they are taking time to make it complete, so they won't need another SP to fix the first's problems.Thank you for subscribing to my blog! ...

Apple Event Confirmed. New iPod Here I Come 2007-08-29 00:20:00 It's official. There has been speculation and rumors surrounding the internet about a large event Apple will be having in early September. According to the Engadget post about the event, it will be held September 5th, which is shown by a nice visual. Clearly this announcement will be about iPods, as the guy in the picture is indeed holding one. I personally can't wait. I'm tired of my old iPod that can just play music, and videos. I want something new. Best case senario for me is that there's an all new touchscreen iPod, running OS X (ala iPhone) with WiFi and an Internet browser, as well as video playback, and an FM tuner, if that's not too much to ask for...
