The top 10 Online Casinos
2008-02-10 12:11:22
Do you bet online? I know that I have reviews various sites in the past, but I’ve never really gone past that in regards to using them due to the media’s view on them (you know, people losing their houses and stuff as a result of their addiction) but I feel that as long as you can limit yourself and know when to stop, why not have a go?
One of the problems, though, is finding a site that you can trust with your custom, which is where sites like Online Casino Bluebook come in handy. They’ve compiled a list of what they feel to be the Top 10 online casinos and they have reviews of each one on their site so you can really get a feel for what it is like. If you’re going to start gambling online (or already do) then it’s really important that you choose the right company/website to do so with, which is why you should make sure that you do your research before playing!

Happy Birthday to ME!
2008-02-10 12:06:36
Yeah! My birthday’s coming up on Tuesday, and my mum’s is the day before, Monday - I’ve not got her anything yet, EEEKK. I’m gonna have to pick something up when I’m out tomorrow, or I’ll never hear the end of it! Yet another year gone by, they’re seriously flying by!
In other news, I’ve not been very active recently (yet again) due to the fact that I’ve been really busy with stuff outside of the internet recently, although everything seems to have quieted down a little bit now so I should have plenty of time to dedicate back to blogging. For some reason I’m having terrible deja vu at the moment, LOL

Hope you’ve had a good one!
2008-01-18 13:43:27
I hope everyone’s had a good and happy New Year so far, I have! One thing that I always seem to remember about Winter is the dark mornings. Getting up when it’s still dark and getting home after the sun has set can become quite depressing after a while, I’m sure you’ll agree if you have to! If you didn’t know, last Monday was supposed to be the most depressing day of the year (what, with debts, going back to work and the like…) Just a message: keep happy!
On a somewhat lighter note: I’ve upgraded Wordpress to the most recent version

Next-gen… business cards?
2007-12-28 15:41:06
I’ve heard of leaving business cards with business associates, and so have you, most likely. BUT, have you ever heard of leaving “blog cards” behind? I have to admit that I have, but was never too sure whether they worked or not (maybe I’m a bit of a skeptic.) Ooprint offer 100 FREE blogger cards as well as some other designs for other business purposes (you just pay for the postage) and, unlike other sites that do this, they’ve got a really nifty blog card design, or, as they refer to it “Business Card 2.0″ (ha) Now I come to think of it, this could be a pretty good way to attract some new visitors to your blog - as well as reminding people of your URL! Obviously I doubt they’d be quite right for Konk, it’s not really big enough yet, but some for some blogs, I could see some advertising of this nature working quite well!

I got…
2007-12-27 11:36:01
After being an Apple-hater for a very long time, I’ve decided to give in. The lure of the iPod’s sleek design was just too much for me. For Christmas, I got one of the new style iPod Nano’s. I have to admit, while there are better machines priced cheaper on the market, I just love the iPod. It’s got all of those little bits that other players seem to forget and leave out. For example, instead of turning off the screen backlight after a certain amount of seconds, the iPod dims it, which I just love The games built in to it also come in handy when you’re on a long car journey from Scotland back to London, a real time waster. Handy!

Want to start a shop?
2007-12-27 10:14:15
If you’ve got a good idea for a new business selling something, you may want to start up, but find that you’ve got something that’s holding you back. This is probably the fact that it’s quite expensive to start up a shop (think, premises, insurance, stock etc.) That’s where the Internet comes in. As you’re most likely aware, loads of big companies have online stores, generally priced cheaper than advertised in stores. The Internet can be an easy way to set up your online store quickly and cheaply. I’m not saying that running an online store will bring in the big bucks straight away - that requires more work on your part, but at least you can rest assured that the back-end (the bits that make the website work) will be catered for. They’re the bits like the shopping cart and billing. All the stuff like that. There are several companies that offer services like these, but Ashop Commerce are the US leading provider of them. If you’re in ...

I’m ba-ack. And the Xbox is acting up…
2007-12-27 10:01:23
Has this happened to anyone else? The other day, my brother was playing away on the Xbox (as per usual), and it started to scuff the discs quite badly. Called Microsoft Tech support, and they even have a special “Disc Replacement” program, so it must be quite a common problem. Will take the machine back to the shop at some point as I don’t really fancy waiting 20 working days for them to fix/replace it!

Paintballing…
2007-11-11 10:23:42
I can’t remember whether I made a post about paintball a while back, anyway, this is on a different part of it, so YEAH!
A few weeks ago, I went paintballing with some family members (for the first time ever), and I loved it. There was a semi-pro player there and I was talking to him about how often he goes etc… and we got talking about where you can buy the guns and other equipment. He said that he goes online for it all, as it is much cheaper than if you were to buy it at the site. For example, they had a few paint ball guns there for sale, but they were all ridiculously priced, so I passed up on buying one.
Recently, I found a website called pntball.com. They sell all kinds of things that you would need to go paintballing from paintball packages (which are kind of packs with everything you need to get started) right the way through to the actual paintballs themselves. If you’re considering a trip paintballing any time soon, you should really check out the internet ...

More good news…
2007-11-11 10:14:55
Yeah! Yesterday I got a letter from OCR in the post (OCR is an examinations agency in the UK). It was my certificate for my IT A Level! 109/120 which equates to a grade A (you can’t get A*). So, I’m pretty chuffed with that.
In other news: I could swear my eyes change colour depending on what kind of mood I’m in. From a blue to a really dark green. Maybe it’s just a trick of the light - no idea!

Oh my god, YAY!
2007-11-08 15:16:34
All I have to say is: YAY!
After me say, “loosing hope” a little with the future of Konk.tv, it was renewed kindly for me by David (the same person who registered it) so a MASSIVE Thanks to him. .TV domains don’t come cheap!
Also, I just checked up on the Page Rank status of Konk.tv (purely out of interest) and I’ve moved up to PR 2!! Thanks to everyone that linked to me!
I could say that faith has been restored? LOL.

Using Axon to make a VCC…
2007-10-26 11:10:48
Recently, I made a “Virtual Call Centre” for a friend’s radio station, using a software package called “Axon” from NCH Swift Sound. It’s really simple to use, and it integrates well with all of the other softwares that NCH Provide, so you can make a complete “call centre” from your PC! Also, it integrated well with his SIP account (for the external POTS Phone number, provided by another company).
Only problem that I’m having is that when you press one, you’re supposed to hear hold music, you don’t, but you do get transferred!

Garage Cabinets
2007-10-19 09:06:45
Are you short on space. One example that I recently heard about is that my friend bought a 9′ surf-board, but didn’t really consider where to put it He’s considering to get a garage roof shelf or some garage cabinets or something so that he can store it, without being kicked out of the house :p. You could also shove all kinds of other bits in them, such as tools etc.. that you’d rather not keep in the house, but they need somewhere to be. If you’re short of space in your house, make sure that you check out this company, as they have a really wide variety of cabinets that you can buy.

Konk.tv Expires Soon :-(
2007-10-19 09:02:13
As the title says, Konk.tv expires soon and I’m not sure whether to bother renewing or not. As you may or may not know, .tv domains are actually quite expensive (the small island that owns it have taken advantage ;p) Anyway, David, who originally bought the domain for me in the first place has offered to pay for 90% of it if I want to renew it, but I’m not sure whether I can be bothered any more. As you can see, I’ve not been posting too frequently recently. Hrm. I’ll have to have a think on it.
