The article will include comparison images made with three Digital SLRs, including the Sigma SD14 powered by the Foveon direct image sensor, and two pro level digital SLRs from other manufacturers, which use conventional Bayer Mosaic type image sensors. Several subjects were photographed in the experiment. A series of images of each subject were made with each camera, under controlled conditions, using the same type lens, to avoid variations caused by using different types of lens.
