Why Boycott the Beijing Olympics?
2007-08-17 08:30:00
I have been reading through blogs, articles and news bits about a sort of boycott Beijing Olympics "movement" on the net and I can't help but think for myself why are people working to boycott the Olympics ? Or at least promoting to boycott the Olympics. I'm not sure if they are trying to come off as people who gives a non-partial, non-partisan view of the whole deal but if you ask me they are way out of it. These people are definitely biased towards their own advocacies. I definitely believe that they think the Olympic games next year is just the biggest platform to finally lash out at China's internal affairs. Because the human rights issue in China is truly an internal affair. No matter how many people join them in their movement to discredit China as Olympic host next year, the reality is China won it the bid several years ago & they will definitely make sure it is done next year. China is sparing no expense in preparing for it & they are even going to the lengths of contro ...
My blog is worth $1,693.62 in over a week
2007-08-16 05:21:00
My blog is worth $1,693.62.How much is your blog worth? This is some serious stuff. I didn't know I can make so much money on the internet in 8 days just by blogging. This is no BS. There a formula by created by Technorati that computes how much your blog is worth based on how many backlinks you have. a backlink is simply your link published on other websites or blogs. There are a number of ways one can build backlinks. So now you're blog is that much... So what you may ask? We'll I can sell it... There have been instances where some people would want to buy blogs from other people because of business reasons. Think in the line of Google buying Youtube not far back. Ofcourse, since my blog is hosted in blogspot.com, technically I can't sell it due to restrictions in the User agreement contract. But when I do get my own hosting & domain, I will definitely go all out in building backlinks to see just maybe in the future I can go ahead & sell it for whatever reason I may have at tha ...
Hilariously Wet Day for Quentin Tarantino
2007-08-15 20:06:00
Let me take a break in blogging about the Olympics and mention a story about award-winning American Actor/Director Quentin Tarantino's very amusing experience while visiting here in the Philippines! Mr. Tarantino from the critically-acclaimed films "Kill Bill" and "Pulp Fiction" fame has been here for the past week or so to receive accolades from the local movie industry and yesterday received an award from the Philippine president herself. The story is yesterday the whole of Manila got hit with heavy rains resulting in heavy traffic and flooding everywhere. Both Tarantino and the president got stuck in the traffic. While the president had a whole army of escorts to ward off traffic, Tarantino got stuck in his service car with a companion. Not wanting to miss the photo op with the president, they braved the rain, traffic and FLOOD just to make it to the venue. They hired a "pedicab" ( a small common-man's bicycle with a side-car ride ) to the venue. Knowing how small this "ride" is, I ...
The Official 2008 Beijing Olympics Website
2007-08-15 09:02:00
The picture above is the English version of the official website for the Beijing Olympic Games. There has been issues of fake websites trying to steal traffic & do unscrupulous promos to dupe people of their money. Being China, again they have blocked accesses to these websites in the mainland. Checking the 3 found fake here in the Philippines, I cannot access their webpages either. They are:www.beijing2008.conwww.q208.orgwww.beijing2008.net ( under construction )Googling "beijing olympics websites", I found a few more fakes claiming as "The official website of the BEIJING 2008 Olympic Games"This one looks fake too: http://en.beijing2008.com/37/03/column211990337.shtmlIn this case, can I call my blog as the "the official blogger of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games" ? Or "the official Beijing 2008 Olympic Games blogger" ? Hehehe... That should get me some traffic too... ...
Olympics news from Beijing
2007-08-14 06:25:00
The Chinese in the mainland are continuously getting excited. They are continuously concentrating on practicing their roles in the olympics whether it be an athlete, an organizer, or an entrepreneur hoping to capitalize on the business the Olympic event will bring next year. Surprising thing I learned about the athletes from China today is they start in their chosen sport really young. as young as 4 years old. The real surprisingly sad about it is they are made to chose between getting a good education or practicing to be a world-class athlete.I've gathered several informative tidbits about what the Chinese are keeping themselves busy with in preparation for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Film maker Zhang to collect smiles for Olympics by -- VETERAN film director Zhang Yimou is going to collect smiles from 10,000 children around the world for a special performance at the opening ceremony of the Beijing 2008 Olympics.A marathon of building for Beijing Olympics-- BEIJING - This ancient me ...
The Search & Countdown For The Olympics countinues
2007-08-13 09:12:00
This is a very interesting thing I have been following since I started this blog. First is the countdown because as the Olympics date draws closer more & more news about the olympics. There are more things to blog about but again I will only stick to blogging about everything Sports & olympics. Lately, the news circulating around the net have all been politics which shouldn't be the case for the olympics. The Olympics is a venue for friendly competition & setting aside of differences in preferences, advocacy & principles so that it may be in turn be a venue for understanding and peaceful dialog right after. On the other hand, I hve also been watching developments on how people around the world search for information about the olympics. I can't help but laugh about these search terms have extracted using word tracker. Laugh with me..."sports cream death", "play sports games","ultram ny olympic bid hits funding snag japan shuttle seeks", "ultram ny olympic bid hits funding s ...

China Out To Control The World
2007-08-11 08:49:00
Wow. I can't believe China is going overboard this time. They have been an emerging superpower in terms of economy, they're the most populous country in the world, they have a formidable military capability. But now, news all over the net describes how China has been trying to control the weather for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. They have been seeding the clouds by bombarding their skies with silver iodide to induce rain & prevent the dust from the north to reach the all important venues for next year. But of course there's still the dirty air in Beijing to worry about. Well, considering the tons of money the Chinese have been pouring to building the Olympic venues, I guess it wouldn't be far-fetched for them to want to guarantee on rain would ruin the Olympics. It's gonna be a tall order if you ask me. Especially during this time of the year when it's storm season in Asia. I'd love to travel to Beijing myself for the Olympics just for the experience but i don't want to see China ...

The 2008 Olympics draws ever closer. The countdown is pegged, as of writing, at 364 days to go. So the search for anything and everything about this event also balloons up bigger and bigger. It's funny how people search the web for information about the Olympics. I signed up for the free trial of word tracker for keywords related to the Olympics and I almost laughed when I saw what it recommended for niche keywords. Very diverse from gold karats facts to abba history. Those 2 by the way are highly suggested to be keywords for the Olympics. Most did not make any sense but they keyword Effectivity index says they are relevant. Here's what it recommended:ultram ny Olympic bid hits funding snag japan Georgia, sports cream death, play sports games, motorcycle and relay, materity swim suit, history of supertramp, history of pink Floyd, history of led zeppelin, gold karats faq, gold bird dvd romanian gymnasts, free Beijing Olympic lapel pins, fore strong international, flight to olympics , ...
