Playing when mentally exhausted no g00t 2007-09-27 18:29:04 …then again, it probably wouldn’t have been any different if I was totally up to par. Why? I managed to run AK into the powerful T6o, all-in preflop…nice call for your whole stack sir (and he wasn’t short)…I then went ahead and ran AK into KK, QQ into AA and some other nice hands, JJ into K9, etc etc… So Hold’em totally lost…0 for 3…at least I managed to crusher a donk at PLO8…still down for the night, but I’m too tired to continue now…off to catch some sleep… ...

Still in nirvana 2007-09-24 18:10:21 I don’t know if my view is so blurred or if it’s really just a weird spell of cards I’m encountering, but it sure still feels weird to play as it’s just like the next cooler and/or bs is just the next deal away. Managed to run KK into the monster JJ…sure enough the two outer hits. Returned the favour by cracking aces with queens. The difference. He min-raise preflop OOP and played the trapping game after the flop came Q high, good for me as I bet him into oblivion until he finally pushed into the nuts on the river. Still running awesome… 2007-09-23 18:41:13 …well, not really. I don’t know what it is. Maybe it’s me getting a little impatient, or maybe it’s just that I don’t have a clue what the hell is going on. One thing’s for sure though, I’m still running awesome. Today was officially AX is no g00t day. AJ vs 55…flops quads on my ass…presto obv gold there…AK vs TT…flops trips on me…AJ vs 88…well you know the drill….flops trips…99 vs 22…flops trips on me…etc etc…I quit as soon as I won the first flip of the night…22 vs AK…quack quack motherfuckers…and I’m outta here…up for the night…less than a buck…oh wheeee….how good it feels to run that good and still finish up, a little, but I’ll take it after rake…I’m outta here…for real… ...

You know you’re running g00t… 2007-09-22 21:55:19 …if you get kicked in the junk over and over and over and over again. That’s pretty much what happened tonight…I won’t exclude some nice hands of mine (quad Kings, etc), but I won’t show any screenshots as I was too tilted in those moments. Tilted holding the likes of quad kings? I ran into a pretty “good” player in PLO8, he managed to hit a lucky river 5 times on me in 4 matches….4 of those were really big pots and I sat in disbelieve how he could hit again. Treading water 2007-09-17 18:35:56 Not much time for poker today, just played three PLO8 SnGs…two at the lower level and one at my usual level, yes, I was still a little freaked out about the horror session, that’s why I started a level lower. I won the first two and felt really comfortable, so I moved up. I lost that match. Pretty sick too…it was up and down up and down until he quartered me twice, once when a case card hit and once where I thought I had the lock on the low…but guess what…just because you hold 334x on a A27XX board doesn’t mean that headsup these days…sure enough he has A734…so sick…but oh well…finished the session exactly even…better than a big phat L. How can I have ppl all in drawing to one-six outs thrice and lose all of those pots? How can I have twenty outs+ twice and still lose to a two-outer, twice (Top two pair + good low draw + straight and flush draw; just to see my opponent hitting a two outer J/7 to make trips over my two pair with no low). WCOOP here I come…or not… 2007-09-13 19:40:38 Well, well…just a little poker session again…two PLO8 matches, 1W 1L. After that I was pretty bored and saw that there were DS satellites for tomorrow’s WCOOP event #1. 8,8$ a pop with 36 players, first get’s the ticket, 2nd to 4th get 20$, 5th 13$…good deal, let’s get it on. The first table was easy…always nice to hold a cooler early on and have someone push into the nuts. I held AA on the button…LP pops it…I repop him, he pushes…I call…he shows KK…rockets hold up. Nice. A few orbits later a really loose push-happy donks raises 5BB preflop…I look down at the s00ted K8 in the bb and decide to call…if I flop gin I have all his chips, if not I fold and lost 150 chips. Flop comes down three diamonds…gin…I lead out and he does as expected…push…insta-call…he’s drawing dead…cya….I bust another player and then my headsup opponent when my JJ hold ...

Same ol’ same ol’ and bad news 2007-09-12 19:20:20 Just a little session tonight again…PLO8…won 5 out of 7…NL Hold’em 1 of 2…PLO 0 of 1…so overall a good session…favourite hand of the night…runner runner quads against me…loved the turn…hated the river… …off to the bad news: I forgot that we have our first booth party of the season (my footie/soccer team parties like there is no tomorrow in the dressing rooms of our club house)…so I guess I will be hammered by the time the Rebuy Donkfest ™ is about to start, so I might not be able to go for the three-peat after all….pause for celebration of my esteemed opponents ….oh well…maybe I’ll make it back in time to play it in drunken donkpush-tastic mode…we’ll see… ...

Still little time for poker… 2007-09-11 20:00:47 …so nothing spectacular to report…played three PLO8 headsup matches and won two of them. One loss and one win were against the same player who was really entertaining. We all know that Omaha is a game of draws and Omaha8 is even more so. So we get the money in on some sick flops and I’m ahead (percentage-wise) in four out of five…sure enough I lose all five and hence the match. I come back to the next match and there he is waiting again for me. Same thing happens, but this time my (monster draw) hands get there against his TP and whatnot and he goes off about how lucky I am and what a donk I am…lol…I haven’t laughed this hard in a while…pure genius… Alrighty…I’m out of here…don’t expect any major posts until friday when I’ll try to go for the KORD ™ three-peat…if you don’t know what I’m talking about just scroll down a little and make sure you get online 9pm ET on frida ...

Remembering 9/11 2007-09-11 16:59:36 It’s weird how everytime something REALLY bad happens in the world, you tend to not only remember it for a long time, but also where you were/what you were doing when it happened. I still remember it like it was yesterday. 9/11/01 started out like every other day for me as I was chilling at home during the semester break from uni. I got up in the morning, enjoy my breakfast and newspaper and went on to play some XBox later on. Once I turn on the tv, flipping through the channels looking for nothing special, just zapping, I came to channel 23 (which is CNN on my tv) and I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I sat there in shock as the whole thing was evolving in front of the world’s eyes.
