We all know how huge the upcoming release of the Xbox 360 game Halo 3 is; well it has just got bigger as today sees for the first time a public preview on an IMAX screen. Halo 3 preview will be shown at the Seattle Pacific Science Center, and will be more dramatic than any game preview that we have seen before. The staff at Bungie will be on hand at this big IMAX screening to show off a couple of surprises and also have a brief Q&A. The other great thing about this Halo 3 event is the fact that it is free, but you have to be 18 or over to enter. If you are under 18 then you will need to be accompanied by an adult. You must remember that the seats are limited, so you will have to get your place in line. Now this is a real poll and not an attempt to cause a war between two platforms I promise you that, I really do have a dilemma. I recently bought an Xbox 360 and am really happy with the game play and graphics, I must say playing online is bloody awesome. Everything about the 360 is great and would not change it, but and a big BUT “It is so noisy and even more so with an intercooler attached”. Now here is my thing, my cousin had the Xbox 360 and he swore by it until it broke down (oops), so he decided to take it back and in the end he got a full refund. Now his question is does he buy the Xbox 360 Elite or does he by the Sony Playstation 3; well he opted for the PS3 and now he is trying to convert me. I have recently played the PS3 and must admit am impressed with the graphics, downsides are the Blu-ray seems a little jumpy to me and there are not as many titles as the 360, but I am still confused. Now this is very cool and a great announcement to all Xbox 360 lovers, step back in time and you 360 fan boys will remember that Microsoft made a stunning announcement that the awesome IPTV will soon be available to Xbox 360 owners sometime in 2007. Well not sure if this is true or not but 360 Gamer have said on their site that BT (British Telecom may have cut an amazing deal with giants Microsoft to offer exclusively IPTV to all their subscribers through the 360. Seems like Madden NFL 08 Xbox 360 Online game is pretty bad according to SportsGamer, apparently the game lags plus does not have Live opponent feature and a few other set backs makes the whole online gaming experience kind of crap. Someone called Fred over at SportsGamer posted his impressions. He goes on to say that the game was laggy and that there are no alternate jerseys online or variable weather plus there is no way to use custom rosters or created stadiums online have been found. Oh well it that it (oh no) he carries on to say that there is not enough time to choose plays on defense as it only gives you 7 seconds like with NCAA and the all new play call screen make it so much worse. We have come across a video of which we DO NOT recommend but what the hell you should see it. A man called CheapyD presents his live video of how to bring back your Xbox 360 back to life. Basically if the Xbox 360 on and off power switch blinks red he has a way to fix the problem temporarily. In his live video he shows that by wrapping the 360 in 3 towels for a period of time this will in fact heat the console up of which then will reset it. Microsoft has just announced that they have appointed Electronic Arts (EA) executive John Schappert to oversee Xbox Live; this is a newly created position of corporate vice president of Live software and services. Basically his new job will entail overseeing Xbox Live which now has a staggering 7 million members scoping across 25 countries. John Schappert new job within the business will also include where he will oversee related businesses for example Games for Windows, Live, XNA and Microsoft Casual Games, this will include well over 400 games via MSN Games, Windows games and Xbox Live Arcade plus Windows Live Messenger. We have been waiting for a very long time for the release dates of the awesome new game TimeShift, this game is amazing with the graphics and the gameplay and weaponry is stunning. All Xbox 360 and PC owners the release date is set for October 30th but sadly all you PS3 owners will have to wait a little longer because the release is for December. This game is going to be one of the biggest on the Pre-order line and customers will receive a code for an all exclusive playable character for the awesome multiplayer game at select retailers. It has finally been made official by Microsoft that they are offering an HDMI port for the Xbox 360, the question is how do you know if your Xbox 360 will have HDMI out? Well first of all this is Microsoft’s official statement which says “Yes, we are offering an HDMI port for Xbox 360 simply as another choice in Xbox 360 owners’ games and entertainment experience. Retailers are gradually introducing HDMI-enabled Xbox 360s into the channel to meet demand.” This is great news for all you Xbox 360 gamers.
