Vodafone has expanded its range of high-speed USB Modems with a new "Stick" design that as well as being super small and lightweight, is capable of connection speeds of up to 7.2Mbps.But, it's worth noting that these impressive speeds - up to twenty-two times faster than that of "normal" mobile broadband - are currently only available in a few locations throughout the UK.Coverage is continuing to be rolled out in the London districts of E1, E1W, E14, EC1, EC2, EC3, EC4, NW1, SW1, W1, W2, W8, W9, W10, W11, W14, WC1 and WC2.In addition to the capital's coverage, 7.2Mbps can also be enjoyed at major airports such as Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton, London City, Southampton, East Midlands, Liverpool, Manchester, Belfast City and Belfast International. The new USB Modem Stick is Vodafone's smallest and slimmest yet and is nolarger than a standard USB flash drive. It really is tiny and lightweight and to say that it offers you full-fat internet connectivity anywhere there is mobile phone coverage

USB 3.0
Ok, it´s for the future! The today's USB standard (USB 2,0) transmits data with 480 Mbit/s. The inventor of the USB Intel however develops already a technology, which is based on optical basis. The transmission is to be thereby about 5 Gbit/s. Thus about ten times faster than USB2.0. On the market should come the new ports 2009.
TwinMOS introduces a Mirror-Surfaced USB flash Drive
I’ve carried many USB drives over the last few years. My first was a very boring 128MB Memorex stick. They didn’t really make them fancy back then, it was cool enough to be carrying one at all. Like the rest of my flash drives, it was likely lost or broken. Needless to say, I’ve seen a lot of them. I’m not really sure why, but Mobile Disk P1 from TwinMOS really caught my eye. I suppose that it’s human nature to be drawn to things that are shiny. I can’t really explain it, but if you see a glint of something out of the corner of your eye, you just instinctively want to look. That’s why people are bound to notice this particular flash drive. It has a mirrored surface, and six multicolored LEDs that light up when it is plugged in. Just looking at this, you get the impression that there’s more than meets the eye. Unfortunately, the most exciting thing you’ll find is the retractable USB plug. Pricing and availability are not currently known on this product. Source: Aving

Retro USB Record Player
There are a lot of vinyl record players out there that convert your giant audio floppy discs into MP3s, but few that pull off the retro look so well. Speaking as someone who once inherited an old portable record player with detachable speakers and a handle that looked eerily similar to this, I like the idea, even if it is slightly overcooked. Hell, I still wish I had that old player now with its wood veneer finish, clip-on speakers, crackly sound and somewhat ‘wavy’ record-spinning action. This is the Crosley Keepsake USB Turntable which will let you convert your records into MP3s, once you hook it up to your PC and use the bundled software. Even better, if all you want to do is to listen to them you can do that too as the Crosley comes with a 3-speed setting for even the oldest vinyl. Anyone for a 78rpm boogie? Yours for around £77Source – uk.gizmodo.com
