The UK Mobile Contract Tracker charts have shown to hot mobile phones in first and second places. In the number one spot it’s the extremely popular Samsung U600 which has been unbeatable for the last three months, but now the Sony Ericsson W580i music slider phone has jumped up 19 spots to take 2nd place in just 2 weeks. Could this phone be the one to knock the Samsung U600 from its long-standing pole position? I am not sure how much Carphone Warehouse has had to-do with the Sony Ericsson W580i success, but by them offering a free Nintendo Wii with the W580i on an 18-month O2 contract has helped. Ya ha sido presentado de manera oficial el Samsung YP-P2, pero por sorpresa ha llegado acompañado de otros dos reproductores, el Samsung YP-S5 y el Samsung YP-T10. Todos ellos se mostrarán en el próximo IFA. El primero de ellos dispone de una pantalla de 1.8 pulgadas con resolución de 222 x 176 píxeles, además de un altavoz integrado para poder escuchar música sin necesidad de auriculares. El YP-T10 tiene una pantalla de 2 pulgadas y una autonomía de hasta 30 horas. Todos ellos disponen de conectividad Bluetooth y estarán disponibles en capacidades de 2, 4 y 8 GB. Samsung has released a few new MP3 players this week, so I thought I would throw some info at you guys. There are 3 new models in this line, the YP-P2, YP-S5, and the YP-T10. All look very sleek and are about the same size. The great thing about the YP-P2 is it has a touch screen, and nicely implemented I must add. The designs on all of them are quite good, and if I didn't already own an iPod, and had my music collection on Windows Media Player, I might consider getting one of these. The YP-S5 and the YP-T10 both have normal navigation controls, which I think are of the touch sensitive variety ala previous versions of the player, but with no touch screen. The all can play music, video, and radio. With the YP-T10 having radio recording. And the really neat thing about all of these players is the built in bluetooth. Almost a day after the significant power-cut that the factory received, Samsung is going to “get insurance payments from a local insurer for the damage received during Friday’s power outage.” The current estimate of the figure that will cover Samsung’s damage is said to be roughly $40 million, which is huge, yet understandable considering their huge losses thanks to the blackout. Many analysts have predicted that it “would take weeks for the plants to reach full capacity,” which if is proven to be true, expect the same high prices and likely to remain constrained. These new 720p (1366×768) Samsung LCD HDTVs boast 8ms response times plus 8,000:1 contrast ratio plus cool 550 cd/m2 brightness on the two bigger screens. Samsung have always given us all good phones and to top it off they want to give us another, the new handset is the Samsung i550 cellphone which is the new GPS smartphone and of which is coming your way soon. We are not entirely sure when this phone is coming but we will keep you informed, so what has the Samsung i550 got? We all love it when a new boy is in town and this one is all about the new Samsung G800 which apparently Phones Review has said it is the successor to the Samsung G600. So this all new cellphone being it true or false but hopefully true of course called the G800 has some pretty cool features. The Samsung G800 has apparently got a 5 MP camera which also boasts 3x optical zoom and auto focus, this is a good start and it may have 3G or HSDPA connectivity and even USB support plus stereo speakers and Bluetooth.
