Why I am voting for Ron Paul
I have never considered myself much of a Libertarian. I certainly do not possess a strong affinity for a free-market economy, and I do not believe that the free-market can serve as a conceptual paradigm that is deployable for the resolution of every and any social problem. For example, the horrific display of inhumanity that [...]

Could Mike Gravel or Ron Paul Become President of America?
Mike Gravel and Ron Paul are the two outsiders running for the US Presidency. Could either of these men win the 2008 Presidential Elections? Well, they both have quite a lot in common; wearing dark suit, sneakers and neither of them has much money. Also they are both trying to become the next President of the United States of America. These two men may be the oldest of the Presidential candidates, Gravel 77 and Paul 71, but they are currently the life of the 2008 Presidential campaign. During the month of June and early July, “Ron Paul” was in the top three most searched terms of the internet and Ron Paul has had his YouTube video view 2.3 million times. After the first debate, Gravel got more internet traffic that any other Democratic candidate apart from Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois. Could one of these guys actually shock everyone and win the 2008 US Presidential Elections? Source Written by Sam for Product ReviewsIn Sections: News, Politics
Ron Paul Says U.S. May Stage Terrorist Attack, References Gulf Of Tonkin
This is too funny (h/t Hotair)Ron Paul asserts that we are in "great danger" of a Tonkin Gulf incident about 1:50 into the clip.My question is, of course, which ship is he referring to in the Gulf of Tonkin incident. The USS Maddox was, in fact, attacked by N. Vietnamese P-4 boats, and has the video and damage to prove it.However, the attack 2 days later on the Turner Joy did not happen, and has been attributed to an overzealous radar man still nervous about the attack on the Maddox two days before.
Racist Persecution of African-American High School Students in Jena, Louisiana; along with its relevancy to the political positions taken by Ron Paul
Despite the best efforts of the luddite, Jim Crow bigots residing in the backwater town of Jena, Louisiana, the cap is about to burst on these white supremacists, who are in the process of committing what amounts to a lynching of several, young African-American males. This clinical lynching is being conducted under the veneer of [...]
Ron Paul: Bringing Home the Bacon
Indicators are that Mr.Paul's internet based fund raising machine is working pretty darn well.Ron Paul Tops McCain in Cash on HandABC News' George Stephanopoulos Reports:Though often regarded as a longshot candidate for president, Republican Ron Paul tells ABC News that he has an impressive $2.4 million in cash on hand after raising an equal amount during the second quarter, putting him ahead of one-time Republican frontrunner John McCain, who reported this week he has only $2 million in the bank. In an exclusive interview taped Friday and airing Sunday on "This Week," Paul said his campaign is on a better trajectory than McCain's. "I think some of the candidates are on the down-slope, and we're on the up-slope," said Paul. Paul's cash on hand puts him in third place in the Republican field in that important metric, although he is well behind leader Rudy Giuliani, who has $18 million in the bank, and Mitt Romney, with $12 million. Paul, who polls show with support in the lo
Ron Paul Nearly Excluded in S.C.
Frome the Spartanburg Herald Journal:Beltram tells Paul to 'come on down' hereSo much for that whole closed door thing. Two days after saying Ron Paul could stay out of Spartanburg, county GOP Chairman Rick Beltram on Thursday reversed course and invited the Republican presidential candidate to come on down. And Thursday afternoon, Paul's campaign agreed. The only thing left to be settled is a date.Beltram on Tuesday called Paul a "lunatic" for defending a theory that American intervention in foreign affairs contributed to the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on New York and Washington, D.C. Paul made the comments at the GOP debate in Columbia in May, and he drew an angry response from former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani. After the debate, Beltram decided he had heard enough from the Texas congressman and said Paul could "stay home." A flood of e-mails and voicemails from across the country apparently changed Beltram's mind."I was told by at least 125 e-mails and 25 voice mails that

Ron Paul Excluded in Iowa
From Transworld News:Monroe, Ga. 6/22/2007 7:46 PM GMTGOP presidential candidate Ron Paul has been blocked from an upcoming political forum sponsored by Iowans for Tax Relief and the Iowa Christian Alliance because he is not a ?credible? Republican candidate. At least that?s what Ed Failor Jr., vice president of ITR commented when asked why Paul was left off the June 30 event. Failor told the Des Moines Register ?We invited credible Democratic and credible Republican candidates,? he went on to say ?we had to draw the line somewhere.? While Ron Paul doesn?t have a campaign office in Iowa the decision to leave him out of the event was called ?weak? by Paul?s campaign chairman Kent Snyder. articleConsidering that depending on what pundit one listens to no GOP candidate has a chance of winning therefore Ron Paul is just as inviable as any other candidate. Besides that is no way to treat an internet superstar.
Ron Paul - Internet Super Star

Ron Paul's Health Freedom Protection Bill
Short, pithy and to the point, it allows supplements to carry scientifically justified health claims. It shifts the burden of proof to the FDA to prove that health claims are NOT scientifically warranted, rather than assuming that health claims are forbidden as advertising unless they relates directly to either structure or function. Thus, "Cherries may be good for arthritis" would be permitted since there is strong scientific evidence that they help people with joint pain.FDA Restricting Your Right to Know What Supplements Can Do For YouThe FDA does not want you to know how good supplements are for you. If you understand how safe, effective and inexpensive they are, why would you take Big Pharma drugs? When I coined the term "Nutricide" I gave it two definitions:1. The death of a body of knowledge about the health benefits of foods, and,2. The death of large numbers of people through the manipulation of the food supply. The FDA is working on both the first (through tools like the recent
Ron Paul Prevents FDA From Spilling More Blood
Congressman Ron Paul (R-Texas) says, ?enough is enough,? to the Big Pharma Bullies running the FDA. He has introduced bill H.R. 2117 (the Health Freedom Protection Act) into the House of Representatives, which would effectively stop the FDA from censoring truthful claims about the health benefits of dietary supplements. He wants to put an end to the federal bureaucrats? meddling with your right to choose healthy alternatives over harmful and deadly patent drugs, and believes Americans should not be prevented form learning about simple ways to improve their health. This bill puts the burden of proof on the FDA/FTC when it comes to proving that a label or advertisement is false and misleading. As it stands now, the manufacturer has to satisfy an unobtainable standard of proof?as was the case with the American cherry growers a few years ago. The FDA went on a witch-hunt after the growers used evidence from studies funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, to state that cherries have ant
Ron Paul Introduces Legislation to Limit the FDA's Authority Over Supplements And Other Medicine.
Not only has U.S. Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) been making quite an impression during the recent Republican presidential debates, he's introduced a bill that would curb restrictions imposed by the FDA and FTC regarding health claims for dietary supplements. The Health Freedom Protection Act would prevent the FDA from censoring truthful claims about the curative or preventative effect of dietary supplements, a popular issue for Americans but not necessarily Congressmen, especially for those receiving donations from the mega-drug company cartel.According to this interesting Lew Rockwell report, one of the more recent flashpoints in the debate over dietary supplements occurred eight years ago after studies emerged that tart cherries may do more good than aspirin or other anti-inflammatory drugs when it comes to pain relief. When cherry growers began to cite this research, the FDA came down hard on 29 of them, threatening legal action if they didn't remove the scientific evidence about cherries
