Nokia's research and development team have kicked it up a gear with an attractive "aeon" concept phone showing up in the R&D section of the company's website. The most prominent design feature of aeon is a touchscreen that stretches over the full surface area of the phone, similar to BenQ-Siemens's Black box concept phone we saw recently. Currently mobile technology isn't quite up to realizing this fantasy, but we'll sleep better tonight knowing that at least one of the cellphone industry's biggest names shares the same dream as we do -- BenQ's dream didn't count, unfortunately.

After being teased with the info that the phone exists, but with no news on the release date or pricing, it’s finally here. Nokia has launched the N82. Another high end mobile from the Finnish mobile makers with a 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics. But this time, unlike the N95, they equipped the phone with a Xenon flash. The N82 is also equipped with A-GPS for navigation with preinstalled Nokia maps and all the standard packages come with a free voice guided navigation trial. You can purchase additional features, such as city guides and longer subscription to the navigation. Nokia N98    The word is out that Nokia comes with a new state-of-the-art concept at the end of year 2007. The N98 concept photo reveals a huge touch screen display of the N series 16th model. The preliminary photos show major similarities with iPhone, but the prototype is most likely Nokia 8600.    The few accessible information sources state that N98 runs a Symbian S70 3rd edition software platform and benefits from a series of impressing features: 3,5 Inch touchscreen, graphics accelerator, 7,2 Megapixels camera with Carl Zeiss optics.    To all these marvelous features, the GPS module inherited form the N95 will also be added. The 8800 Arte is set to start shipping later this year at a retail price of $1,462 while as the 8800 Sapphire Arte will begin shipping in the first quarter of 2008 at almost the same price.At this time more details about the phone are not available but it is expected to come bundled with much more than just the regular Nokia feature. Nos espera presentación de Nokia para el próximo miercoles. Y el modelo que presentarán (si no hay más novedades) es el Nokia N82, un terminal del que ya se han escapado las primeras foto espía y del que se conocen algunas de sus características. Será un terminal tipo candybar con múltiples opciones de conectividad: HSDPA, Wi-Fi y Bluetooth. Por el lado de la cámara tampoco se queda corto, ya que incorpora una de 5 megapíxeles con óptica Carl Zeiss, un flash de xenon y autoenfoque, una característica más que interesante que nos permitirá obtener fotos con calidad, uno de los fallos de los que adolecen muchos móviles que se centran solo en los megapíxeles. Para completar las interesantes especificaciones encontramos también un receptor GPS y la posibilidad de rotar la pantalla automáticamente, al estilo de lo que hace el iPhone. Nokia E61i    Although we had some trouble determining if this is a Nokia or a Blackberry phone, it looks like Nokia has pushed the limits of the “E” series SmartPhones and came up with a full QWERTY, e-mail and messaging phone. We must admit that the gray aluminum finish of the sturdy E61 is of high quality as well as the 2.8-inch landscape display. The keyboard is comfortable in size and the keys are well shaped. Nokia N80     Introduced in Q4 2005, Nokia N80 Smartphone started the second wave of Nokia N`series starting some big waves along the way. At first glance, N80`s slide up design is both attractive and compact, a bit chunky perhaps. The N80 block shape with rounded edges offer a comfortable hold, the phones fits nice in the palm of the hand. Neither small nor light the N80 feels appropriate considering the features crammed inside.     The slide mechanism is nowhere near as good as the Samsung smooth sliders but the most annoying thing is that N80 will not stay closed and it opens by itself when carried in a pocket because the spring mechanism can not hold the slider open or closed. Adding the necessity to lock the keypad manually, the probability that the phone will dial on tis own is high.
