Announced Monday, Motorola said it secured the contracts from Taiwan's Far EasTone Telecom (FET), which controls about one third of Taiwan's local wireless mobile market. The ambitious M-Taiwan project is planned to cover Taipei County's two largest cities, Jhonghe and Banciao, with WiMax, Wi-Fi, and 3G technologies, building over FET's existing mobile infrastructure. Motorola, which has been making an aggressive drive in WiMax, said its contracts with FET are the largest WiMax contracts in Taiwan. "Underlying the M-Taiwan project is a complete WiMax ecosystem to create a city-wide broadband network in order to roll out integrated mobile servies," said Jeffey Gee, FET's executive VP of network technology, in a statement. Ormai è noto. In Italia, a Milano, le installazioni di guerrilla scelgono come location le Colonne di San Lorenzo. Un po' perché, in qualche modo, le opere "dovrebbero" ispirarsi alla street art, molto perché il target lì è quello buono e giusto. Questo weekend è toccato a Motorola che ha scelto di stupire (?) con un'installazione ai limiti dell'irrealtà per il nuovo Motorola RAZR 2. Il claim è "Più tagliente che mai". Ok, a me non piace. Avrei preferito il telefono cellulare infilzato in qualche muro vero o in qualche colonna... Ma devo dire che forse si tratta di deformazione professionale, e che chi non è del settore (pubblicitario) non ha giudizi critici di questo tipo.
