Microsoft Corp. said it will release a major package of updates and fixes for the Windows Vista operating system in the first half of 2008.The company said a ''beta'' test version of Service Pack 1 will be released ''in a few weeks to a moderate sized audience.'' The SP1 beta includes updates Microsoft has already made to the operating system it started selling to consumers at the end of January.The service pack fixes some common problems that cause computers to crash or freeze, Microsoft said, including compatibility problems with some newer graphics cards, external monitors and printer drivers. Lo que véis en la imagen superior es el futuro chatpad de Xbox 360. Un mando especialmente diseñado para los canales de conversación y mensajería instantánea del servicio Xbox LIVE, así como los juegos que soporten esta función. A pesar de que ha recibido duras críticas por su inutilidad, a mi no me parece una idea tan mala. Por un lado, tenemos un mando extra para Xbox 360 a su precio habitual (unos 30 dólares, que es de suponer que equivaldran a 30 € en España) y por otra parte, contamos con una forma mucho más rápida de escribir mensajes que el joystick analógico. Es cierto que podríamos hacer lo mismo con un teclado externo, pero es mucho más aparatoso que este mando todo-en-uno. I have owned the Xbox 360 since they first came out (a long time ago) and although I have never played it more than a couple of hours as I work a lot from home, many of my family members Xbox 360’s are dropping down like flies with the 3 red lights. First lets make it clear that I do love the 360 and my games collection is over 40 games, but with the thought of it dieing one day when I decide to play it a lot more I decided to give Microsoft a phone call (remember facts are I am seeing problems with my friends and family 360’s). After 40 mins on the phone where did I get? In short they will only repair the 360 if I get the 3 red lights (even after telling them it sounds like a tank and gets so hot I cannot let my 4 year old son touch it), but guess what. It looks like Microsoft will be asking for a price of around GBP 280 (EUR 414) for the Halo 3-themed Xbox 360 according to Euro Gamer. The Microsoft Halo 3 theme Xbox 360 will have to be for die-hard gamers as I cannot see many people wanting a green frog colored 360. The release date for this green looking games console is 26th September at the same time of the Halo 3 launch. For everyone that does not know Microsoft has issued a recall and no its not the Xbox 360 console like many would wish, but instead it is a recall on the Microsoft Wireless Racing Wheel and I just happen to own one of them. Microsoft has said “As a precautionary measure, Microsoft Corporation is voluntarily providing its customers with a free retrofit to the Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel. The Wheels were manufactured during 2006 - 2007. A component in the Wheel chassis may in rare cases overheat and release smoke when the AC-DC power supply is used to energize the Wheel.” Although Microsoft has done this, they could have made thing simpler by giving you an online form to fill out and submit which could then be done in seconds. This is not possible for Microsoft as the king of software decided to get us to print out and fax the form to them, this disappoints me and means more time and cost to me for a problem they have caused. It seems that the Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver has now become a widespread issue; more and more users are having error issues with this Wireless Receiver attachment. The problem does look as though it is getting worse, as more people on many forums and review sites are all complaining about this now useless piece of equipment. The problem is that people are using their Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver only to find that it is sucking the life out of every other USB peripheral, so when you plug your Microsoft gadget all other items that have been plugged into the USB port stops working.
