More trouble for Lindsay Lohan’s family: Her 13-year-old sister, Ali, has been involved in a traffic accident after allegedly sneaking out of the family house. She was in a car that crashed on Friday night, family insiders say. Nassau County police will not give any official details of the accident. “We don’t normally comment on traffic accidents unless there is a death or serious injury,” Lt. Kevin Smith tells In Touch. The accident, in which two people were slightly injured, happened at 7:20 p.m. on Friday, close to the Lohan family home in Merrick, on New York’s Long Island. “Ali had snuck out of the house to be with her friend, a 16-year-old boy who has a learner’s permit. He had taken the car without his mother’s permission,” says the insider. “Luckily, she was not hurt.” Ali is currently with her mom, Dina, and other family members visiting Lindsay in rehab in Utah. Lindsay Lohan will not stand trial for DUI — but she’ll do a teeny tiny amount of jail time. She just struck a deal by pleading no contest to two counts of DUI (driving with a .08 blood alcohol level or higher). By law, Lohan becomes a second offender (with two DUIs) and must serve a minimum of four days in jail. But the judge cut that in half by ordering her to perform 10 days of community service in lieu of two of the days. He also gave Lindsay one day credit for time served when she was busted. That means she gets a grand total of one day in jail. Lindsay Lohan issued the following statement to TMZ: “It is clear to me that my life has become completely unmanageable because I am addicted to alcohol and drugs. Recently, I relapsed and did things for which I am ashamed. I broke the law, and today I took responsibility by pleading guilty to the charges in my case. No matter what I said when I was under the influence on the day I was arrested, I am not blaming anyone

Apparently at least one thing is looking hopeful for Lindsay Lohan. TMZ has recently reported that the Los Angeles D.A. will most likely not be pursuing felony charges against Lohan for her DUI arrest. Sources say the D.A. almost certainly will not file cocaine charges in connection with her DUI bust Memorial Day weekend in Beverly Hills. As for her July 24 arrest in Santa Monica, the D.A. could charge her with felony cocaine possession, and bringing cocaine into a correctional facility — also a felony. But we’re told that the D.A. is inclined not to file those felony charges either. Source
