According to Google's Developers Journal the FTC has ok'd Googles acquisition of DoubleClick. "The FTC's strong support sends a clear message: this acquisition poses no risk to competition and will benefit consumers," said Eric Schmidt, Chairman and CEO, Google. If your Gmail account has not been opening in the last few days, don’t worry because the issue is from Google’s side. Search engine giant Google has expressed regret over disabling a few Gmail accounts in defense of conflicting spammers. Google has officially apologized to its users to restricting their Gmail accounts accessed via the company’s official www.google.com web site. “I understand that some of you have had a frustrating experience with your accounts being inappropriately disabled. Our team is aware of the problem, and our engineers are investigating this matter,” said Google in its website. Days after the announcement, we started to hear that they might not be in it to win it, but rather, just fulfilling obligations. According to a senior vice president of a nonprofit public interest telecom law firm, Google will aggressively bid to win the spectrum, even if they don't plan to directly operate a network on it. Judging by the descriptions we're given, it looks like it could be very useful tool for information, much like Wikipedia is today.
