| Google AdWords Average CTR and Best Practices 2007-09-20 06:52:00 A previous post here covered average click-through rates for email newsletter advertising, email campaigns and website banner ads. As noted, DoubleClick provides fairly reliable data across those media. It's surprisingly difficult, however, to get meaningful data on the average click-through rate (CTR) for Google AdWords ads. This discussion on Webmaster World reports various experiences: 0.6%-1.2%, 1%-2% and 3%-5%. PayPerPost puts the figure at 0.5-1.5%; and Hochman Consultants pegs the average at 0.7-1.5%. Across all of the sources I was able to find, the average fell into the range of 1.1-2.2%. That range includes both B2B and B2C ads (the latter tend to generate higher CTRs). On the B2B side, I'd place the average Google AdWords CTR in the range of 0.9-1.4%.So—how can you optimize your Google AdWords CTR to beat those averages? | | Presentation Added to Google Docs 2007-09-19 23:05:00 Earlier this year in April, Google had announced plans to add a new, PowerPoint-like presentation application to its Web-based Docs suite.Reportedly, starting today, the application named 'Google presentation' has been added to Google Docs. Using this application, users can create Web-based presentations, as well as view and update them from any Internet-connected PC anytime. Similar to what Microsoft's PowerPoint offers, 'Google presentation' users will be able to create presentations, including series of slides with text and graphics on them.Users will be able to manage, and share presentations with colleagues by sending simple email invites to the latter. This would enable them together edit online in real-time, or contribute at different times to the same presentation online. In addition, users will be able to present and control slide shows over the Web without any additional software, and simultaneousl | | Google Walk-in for Freshers : Sept 22,23 2007-09-19 22:58:00 Position Available Online Operations

However, the Googlephone's OS, hardware specs, production contractor and operating partners have still not been finalized. Given that we're already pretty sure that Google has developed their own mobile OS based on Linux, we'll assume that their use of "finalized" refers to the final feature set and UI polishing -- not the possibility of the gPhone running Symbian or WinMo, for example. DigiTimes' sources also note that Google is contemplating going with a 3G handset instead of EDGE for its initial foray into the cellphone market.MORE... Google Reader uses 10 TB for storing all the raw data
Google Reader crawls 8 million feeds
70% of the Google Reader traffic comes from Firefox (a lot of geeky users)
Google Reader is the only major feed reader that keeps the entire history for all the feeds
| | Google introduces Gadget Ads 2007-09-18 18:42:16 Google officially launched Google Gadgets as an ad unit tonight after about three months of pilot testing. Google’s AdWords platform now supports Google Gadget content in addition to existing text, image, and video offerings. The gadget ads feature an entirely new widget analytics platform for tracking gadget success and interaction, an open caching proxy hosted by Google’s geo-distributed servers, and the introduction of YouTube as a video hosting and transcoding platform free from any Google branding. I previously covered Google’s upcoming advertising widgets in early May.
Advertisers can create Google Gadget content in any size supported by AdWords images. In the example shown above Intel combined a Flash game with tabs displaying images and text with more information on the Intel Centrino Duo mobile processor. Each gadget interaction is recorded according to a set list of actions such as mouse over, tab views, entering a ZIP code, subscribing to a web feed, or ini | | Make money with adsense- Adding Google adSense to a Blogger Blog 2007-09-18 07:36:37 The above video will show you how to add an adsense to blogger blog and you can start make money with adsense. Información extraída de: LaFlecha.net | | Google debuts Presentation tool 2007-09-17 21:08:53 Google today debuted their Presentation tool (speculated by me earlier here) to complete the Office suite for Google Docs and Spreadsheets. A first look at it and I must it is quite impressive, the user interface is great and creating a presentation is a breeze. You can check out the new presentation tool by logging into Google Docs and Spreadsheets.
Clicking on the presentation will take you to the page where you can create presentation.
What’s more you can also choose various themes that are available instead of the plain Jane look to spice up your presentation.

El lanzamiento podrá ser observado en directo a través de Internet, y de hecho si todo va bien un tercer satélite se uniría a este propósito a finales de 2008.Información extraída de: The Inquirer ES | | Google Sky - Explore and Rediscover the Sky 2007-09-17 06:08:00 Now, I have a chance to post a 3D rendering related linux blog entry here that explores more of the Stars and Sky using Google Earth.

| | Google's 10th Birthday 2007-09-16 09:41:00 Google has just turned 10 (okay, it turned 10 yesterday, but well, close enough). I'm quite a big admirer of Google, for its innovation and culture especially. Its still quite young for such a huge company. What made it successful? CNet News says is its ability to deal with failure. Which I think is really true. Above just the hardware failure which CNet reports on, I think what set Google apart is its innovative culture. And that culture could only have happened if they were willing to accept failure and dealt with it well - seeing it as a learning opportunity. And that's the first thing I want to highlight about Google, its innovation.Google's CIO Douglas Merrill tells us more about innovation at Google, and gives some tips about how businesses can apply innovation. It's a really good video and despite its length, I think you should watch it. These services are hugely popular and are widely used by a number of sites and users. The biggest problem with these services is that you cannot withdraw your balances right away, withdrawal can be either done using the cheque facility which they provide or transferring the money to your bank account directly with additional limitations on bank transfers being available in only certain countries.
Creating a Epay account is free and you can take advantages of a virtual banking environment immediately. Epay also offers a very high paying referral program where you can refer a friend to Epay and make 150$ or refer a merchant and make $250, this is more than what other referral programs offer.
