It is being reported that Halle Berry is 3 months pregnant; the upcoming Lionsgate film “Tulia” (which Halle Berry is staring in) will not start filming this October. Apparently a source that is very close to the production of Tulia has informed TMZ that 41 year old Halle Berry was also meant to star in the drug and racial profiling scandal movie (Tulia). The scheduled release date was 2008, the film was also meant to star Billy Bob Thornton and be directed by John Singleton. I hope everyone is having a great Labor Day weekend. The weather has been amazing so far and according to the forecast it should hold up for the next couple days. I spent yesterday walking down Newbury Street, it's been a while since I've walked all the way down from Arlington to Mass Ave. Also took a quick walk through the Pru and Copley Mall. And nope, still can't afford anything in Copley. Enjoy the weekend because after tomorrow, it's back to work/school on Tuesday. Mumbai, Aug 29 (IANS) After tying up with filmmaker Sanjay Gupta, Ekta Kapoor is looking forward to join hands wuith Actor cum producer Sunil Shetty. Shetty’s Popcorn Entertainment is in for a partnership with C Company - the film branch of Ekta’s company - for a production that takes Apoorva Lakhia through his toughest film after “Shootout At Lokhandwala”. Confirming these developments, Suniel says, “Ekta’s Balajee and my Popcorn Entertainment have been in talks for a while. When I heard Apu’s script I knew this was the right moment to concretise our collaboration. “Hopefully Ekta and I will be looking at many more collaborations. Both of us are dreamers who aren’t in this business to make money but because we believe in it.”

We have learned that Shane and Sia Barbi who are better known as the Barbi Twins have filed a lawsuit which claims that they were duped by a con man. The Barbi Twins state that Curt Johnson used their celebrity friends to make a movie about animal right. Shane and Sia Barbi said that Johnson had lied to them about being an Oscar winner; the twins are also suing Daily Variety as they printed a story saying that Curt had sealed a $30 million film deal, which they say is untrue. The twins say that Curt Johnson is only selling-Shirts and is staying in their guest house where he is said to be doing gardening work for them. In the lawsuit it con man Curt claimed to be close with Lindsay Lohan, he also created false film review by name dropping Stan Lee and Clint Eastwood. Film crews working in Chicago blew up a building yesterday as part of a scene for the movie "The Dark Knight" - the latest in series of Batman movies. It's set to be released in the summer of 2008. Production has been going on in Chicago for the last few months, with several large stunts taking place, but this one is by far the biggest. That's saying quite a bit - since one of the stunts involved flipping over a semi-trailer! Gone, Baby, Gone is an amalgamation of two Afflecks, a director and cast with a few Academy Awards under their belts, a best-selling novel and a gripping story. It all adds up to a fantastic directional debut from Ben Affleck. The movie will be introduced to the world at the Deauville Festival of American Film on September 5th. The thriller is based on the novel by Dennis Lehane who wrote Mystic River. The crime drama follows the story of two private investigators who are searching for a 4-year-old girl kidnapped in a rough neighbourhood in Boston. Ben Affleck produced, directed and co-wrote the film but decided to stay behind the camera in favour of his younger brother Casey who is on the brink of a breakout in Hollywood with roles in The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford and in the Deauville’s line up. Joining Casey in the cast of Gone are Michelle Monaghan, Morgan Freeman, Ed Harris and Amy Ryan. Gone, Baby, Gone was shot last summer in the south of Boston.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is slowly but surely making a name for herself in Hollywood. Monday saw filming for her new movie Pink Panther 2 begin in Paris. Aishwarya was not there alone, her husband Abhishek was there to give her constant company between takes. In the film, Ash plays a detective who joins forces with French Police Detective Jacques Clouseau (Steve Martin) to catch the thief who has been stealing artefacts from around the world. Canada’s Toronto Film Festival Thursday announced its final lineup of 73 candidate films, including Chinese directors Ang Lee’s “Lust, Caution” and Alexi Tan’s “Blood Brothers”.    Ang Lee’s latest work “Lust, Caution”, featuring the “Brokeback Mountain” director’s return to romance stories, will highlight this year’s slate of special presentations.     Alexi Tan’s “Blood Brothers”, a crime drama set in 1930s Shanghai, was one of the two Asian films to be shown as gala presentations. The other one is Indian director Rituparno Ghosh’s “The Last Year”.     At the same time, the lineup also showcases films by critically acclaimed newcomers, including “4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days” by Romanian director Cristian Mungiu, the Palme d’Or winner at Cannes.     The festival is set to last from September 6 to 15.
