Batmanonfilm has got their mits on a leaked info sheet for a Batman anime project which hasn’t been officially announced yet. The project would work the same way that the Animatrix did for The Matrix films, which was also released by Warner Bros. The project would consist of six short stories which would fill in any unclear gaps between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. The anthology, rated a PG-13, will be geared towards core fans and tween boys. The name attached to supposedly write the stories include Josh Olsen (The History of Violence), David Goyer (Blade, Batman Begins) and famed comic book writer Brian Azzarello. Part Man, Part Machine. All Cop. Yep that’s right, Robocop is back. The 1987 cyberpunk action movie, which saw two sequels, two animated series, two television series, several comic books, multiple video games and dozens of action figures, obviously isn’t enough as there is now a Robocop 20th Anniversary Collector’s Edition DVD. The film was set in a dystopian near future in Detroit, Michigan. Violent crime rates are through the roof and the city is in financial ruin. The city contracts the megacoporation Omni Consumer Products to fund the police department. OCP is not interested in rebuilding old Detroit but want to replace it with a modern utopia called “Delta City”. OCP want to eliminate crime in the city before work begins and creates a superhuman law-enforcement agent known as Robocop. The Robocop 20th Anniversary Collector’s Edition DVD is a 2 disc set which has theatrical and extended versions of the movie, along with a truck load of bonus material and extra feature

Few things from MTV have ever been so good as The State and now, thankfully, we’ll be able to enjoy it all over with the announcement of its DVD release. The State was a sketch comedy show which ran on MTV from 1993-1995. If you’ve watched Reno 911 on Comedy Central you’re likely to recognize The State cast members Thomas Lennon and Kerri Kenney-Silver. There was also my personal favorite, Michael Ian Black who has gone on to plenty of other great roles. In honor of the fantastic battle movie 300 being released today on DVD, HD-DVD, and Blu-ray I thought it’d be fun to revisit all the 300 coverage from its theatrical release. First up was our movie review of 300 along with a look at some of its historical background info. One of the biggest conversation starters we’ve had was a look at Iran’s discontent over the release of 300. Finally we have what was my favorite 300 thing, the PG Version of 300 redux video. Almost as funny were the cross marketing pics for 300 and everything from Sbarros to geography. I’m very excited to get my hands on the HD-DVD version of this just as soon as it arrives. Remember when we posted the Target will stock Blu-ray players only in its stores; well this is not true it is a false alarm. When we told you about Target will only be stocking Blu-ray players in its retail stores only, well we have an update on this story. This is all false and we will explain why. I have had a high definition television for some time now and the news that 300 the movie is coming to both HD-DVD and Blu-ray formats on the 31st of July is news that makes my want to buy a Sony Playstation 3 (for the blue-ray of course). Amazon.com will start selling the movie 300 in the two hi-def formats and it will also come with a standard DVD version as well (that could be given away as a gift). Heroes on NBC proved to be quite a pleasant surprise for me as I quickly picked it up following the disappointing start to 24. Having all the episodes online really helped get me into the story as I didn’t start watching until around episode 7. While you can always go back and watch those in the tiny window on your computer a better option is coming your way. Heroes - Season One is coming out on DVD and HD-DVD (awesome) at the end of next month. If you’ve missed this show so far this is the perfect time to catch up on what has been the most exciting and interesting drama I’ve seen on TV in years. I’m very anxious for the new season to start up so we can figure out just who survived the final episode and who didn’t. Considering how many characters were routinely knocked into oblivion I wouldn’t be surprised if more of them died than I’m expecting. I love it when a show/story isn’t afraid to dispatch a few characters along the way

Now people are saying Blu-ray is better than HD DVD then there are people saying that HD DVD is better than Blu-ray, well the thieves believe that Blu-ray is better than HD DVD due to the fact Thieves Steal $7000 worth of Blu-ray Discs and they ignored HD DVD. Let the HD format war begin, Blu-ray 1-0. Sunday morning a group of thieves decided to break into a video store and they stole $7,000 worth of Blu-ray movies that were in stock but the really interesting bit is that they left behind all the HD DVD selection. Maybe they wanted the Blu-ray discs for their brand new Playstation 3 because the discs are too expensive for them (who knows). The question is Blu-ray are wining in our eyes by 1-0 and we hope that no other group of thieves decide “Hey stuff that crap we want HD DVD to win so we better go steal some to make it 1-1” scenario.
