With one week to go in the baseball season there isn't much left to do for the fantasy owner other than to sit back and let the chips fall where they may. I will be posting on some post-mortems for my teams and thinking about next year in the offseason. But for now there isn't much to do.

Allison was born on the 12th July 1984 and was raised in St. Louis, Missouri on mid-western beef while leading her high school team to a second place finish in the state championship.

| Would you pay €400 for Ferrari baseball cap: autographed by Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen? 2007-08-29 05:15:33
Ferrari seems to have a strangle hold over motorsport and also with their fans which are called the tifosi, they seem anything that is to do with Ferrari but the question is would they pay €400 for Ferrari baseball cap. Ok you have to remember that the cap is signed by Formula One drivers Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen.
Myself I do like Kimi as a driver but I am a McLaren man and anything to do with Ferrari makes me want to spit I just hate them in every way, I know they do produce nice road cars but Ferrari as a team I find very arrogant I could talk about how much a despise them for hours, so best to talk more about the baseball cap.
The Ferrari Team cap which is autographed by drivers Felipe Massa’s and Kimi Raikkonen’s signatures is on the peak of the cap. The cap as you would expect is red in color and made from twill cotton, it also has the

| Ferrari’s €400 baseball cap 2007-08-28 23:42:39
For many motorsports aficionados, allegiance to Ferrari transcends the lines of age and social class. Young and old, from the everyman to captains of industry, on race days the differences are tossed out the window and they gather en masse, a sea of red in the stands, as tifosi. Ferrari knows this, and as a result, its strength as a merchandiser is unparalleled in the automotive landscape. Leveraging its iconic logos, rich history and legions of owners and fans, it has created a machine that churns out collectibles and accessories designed to fit almost any budget.
And now, the tifosi have a new bauble to fight over, and it’s priced for the deeper-pockets crowd. In honor of the 1-2 podium finish at the Turkish GP for Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen, Ferrari has offered 50 signed baseball caps. Each lid is autographed by both Felipe and Kimi, arrives in a big red Ferrari cardboard box, has a certificate of authenticity, and costs a whopping €400. On the Ferrari Store websi |

I thought this was an interesting trade, and was a big supporter. So were the guys at Ducksnorts, an excellent Padres blog. I don't have time to read tons of team specific blogs, so I have to pick and choose. I think it is the best of the Padres blogs, so if you are a Padres fan check it out.

| Baseball’s Hottest: Boston Red Sox vs New York Yankees 2007-08-16 09:41:01
A few months ago, the Boston Red Sox were had a decent lead over the New York Yankees in terms of popularity to baseball fans.
However, it appears that the New York Yankees have come from behind to take the lead as they overtake the Boston Red Sox in the popularity index from Yahoo.
Some of this explosion is due to the Hall of Fame New York Yankee player, Phil Rizzuto, sadly passing away.
However most of the growth came from before Phil Rizzuto died.
So are we seeing the New York Yankees become more popular than the Boston Red Sox?
Let us know what you think by posting a comment below.

| How Good Would Phil Rizzuto Have Been in Fantasy Baseball? 2007-08-16 08:04:00 Phil was an MVP but how good would he have been for fantasy players?
On the MLB.com Fantasy 411 podcast, Cory Schwartz and Joe Sheehan were discussing Rizzuto and how good he would have been. They thought that he would have been similar to David Eckstein. There is an easy way to at least get an estimate of his fantasy value; all that needs to be done is to apply a head to head league point |
| Youth Baseball Gloves 2007-08-16 02:22:00 Baseball gloves have a history, nearly as old as the game. The first baseball gloves were used in the 1870s and are very different from the baseball gloves we have today. Earlier, the baseball was more rugged than today and players were expected to catch or knock the ball with no protection. The basic idea was to create a glove that would pad and protect the players' hands and provide a cushion for catching the ball. Surprisingly, the first gloves were designed so the player could knock the ball to the ground and not necessarily catch it. History's first baseball gloves were made from pieces of leather sewn together to fit over a player's hand. Not nearly as padded, thick or advanced style-wise, early baseball gloves are on display at many sport and baseball museums across the country. Now the Baseball Gloves have been evolved as an essential item for comfort as well safety, particularly for young players. What type of gloves a young player needs depends what position he/she plays: P |
| Zac Efron Thrilled With Baseball 2007-08-13 05:11:05
Zac Efron was thrilled when Jay Leno handed over a baseball to him signed by record breaking player Barry Bonds
It was reported that Zac was telling Jay that “I have a baseball collection. Me and my pops and my little brother, we’d all drive up to San Francisco Giants games.
Zac said that every day we’d show up two hours before the park opened and we’d wait and catch foul balls. Afterwards, we’d go and have the players sign the balls. We’d wait in the parking lot and they’d all drive by in their nice cars, they’d roll down the windows and sign them for us.
Zac then said that the only one that I don’t have is Barry Bonds.
Jay then said he knew Barry and had told him that Zac was a fan, before presenting a stunned Zac with his signed baseball.
Looks like Zac can get anything he wants now that he is becoming a very famous actor.

| Jeremy's Tackles Baseball's Biggest Developments. Not Barry or Alex, but Joba... 2007-08-10 06:32:00 Jeremy takes on baseball's current events, and the Yankees call-up of Joba Chamberlain.
So I had a whole different plan for today’s column, but recent historic baseball events have prompted me to scrap that idea and address the importance of this occurrence.
I speak of course of Joba the Hutt joining the Yankee bullpen.
Of course not, although I will address that later on. And yes, he will |
