| Apple Perhaps Converting To Windows? iPhone Display Says So 2007-08-04 05:29:24
I think the picture really does say it all, really. So next time you hear Steve Jobs telling the world how Macs rule all, then why don’t you use them? Next time you hear someone say that the Zune advert was made on a mac, this would be ideal to rub in their face. Seriously, Windows has taken over the world, whether you like it or not.
The shot of the Windows XP OS for an iPhone display was taken at an AT&T store, you really can’t blame them though. Windows XP really is hugely dominant when it comes to software. Don’t you agree?

Foto: Interscope/UniversalSubscribe in a reader | | Apple’s New OS ‘Leopard’ Gets UNIX Certification 2007-08-02 16:12:06
Apple’s forthcoming Leopard operating system has recently been certified with UNIX. Apple joins only three other companies to be in the same position- Sun, IBM and HP - with certified UNIX operating systems.
This UNIX 03 certification entitles Apple to officially brand Leopard as a UNIX operating system, but more importantly the certification also makes software developers happy too, putting their minds at ease and allowing a much more straight-forward production process towards Leopard.
What do you think Apple’s Leopard will hold? A success? Or a mirrorred misery like it’s oponent, Windows Vista?

| | Apple Event On August 7th: Focusing On Macs, iLife 2007-08-01 12:37:28
Cupertino, California will be hosting an Apple event next week dedicated to showcasing (hopefully) the new Mac. The Mac-orientated event, confirmed by many reliable sources including MacNN, will be held on Tuesday, August 7th. An update to Apple’s iLife suite is also speculated to be showcased.
The iLife suite should contain many multimedia-based applications such as iPhoto for photo management and editing, iMovie for video editing, iDVD for disc burning and so on. Unfortunately, I doubt any iPhone or iPod related subjects will be brought up during the event, but let’s keep our fingers crossed in the meantime.
What do you think we can expect from the new Macs?

| | Eminem Files New Lawsuit Against Apple 2007-08-01 06:53:59
Eminem has filed a lawsuit because he claims that computer giant Apple has no right to sell his music.
Eminem filed the lawsuit on Monday in the U.S. District Court in Detroit, accuses Apple of violating copyright by selling Eminem tracks through its download service iTunes.
Eminem’s music publisher and copyright manager said that Apple isn’t permitted to sell his music because the rapper has not granted his label, Universal, the right to authorise downloads.
Eminem has previously sued Apple in 2004 after the company used his song Lose Yourself in an iTunes TV commercial.

| | Apple iPhone and iPod will stop charging: Warning to all thieves 2007-07-30 06:51:54
There has just been a recent patent application from giants Apple which shows that Cupertino really do care about you as the owner of the iPod. This is all about the technology which would invoke a “guardian” recharge circuit which can in fact disable any further charging if the computer or any other re-charger was paired with was unauthorized.
Not going to go into the ins and outs of this patent because you can see it for yourselves below by following the link, but according to Apple this type of limitation would be great and would serve as a deterrent against theft (so watch out thieves it is not worth it). This would obviously be applied to the iPhone and the iPod and probably other handheld rechargeable devices would benefit from it as well. Basically this would turn your iPhone and iPod into a brick, you know a useless device.

| | Apple wants your iPod to stop charging for thieves 2007-07-30 05:03:00 Hey, it's no shocker that Apple's iPod is a coveted item even for those who acquire their wares in less than legal manners, but a recent patent application from Apple shows that someone at Cupertino cares about you rightful owners out there. Essentially, the technology would invoke a "guardian" recharge circuit, which would disable any further charging if the computer (or "other recharger") it was paired with was of the unauthorized variety.MORE... | | New Apple iMac Keyboard Against Old Version, Better or Worse? 2007-07-29 15:04:23
Ever since the speculative photos of Apple iMac’s new keyboard, geeks accross the internet have been comparing and deconstructing every single detail. Side beside, the differences are much more noticable and it seems to me, Apple have substituted convenience for good looks, which some my find annoying but I love.
Personally, I feel something like this needs to have the wow-factor, which the new super slim keyboards do. After all, showing-offness is what Apple do best and we love it. With the sexy iPods and Macbooks, I really feel the new keyboard is a
step in the right direction.
What do YOU think of the new iMac keyboard compared to it’s older relative? Are you annoyed that the help key has been replaced by the fn key? Do you think Apple should have stuck to the revolutionary pure white colour they’re used to? Let us know how you feel.
A larger picture of the two keyboards can be found, here.

The iPhone has been enjoying great headline news coverage since it was unveiled in January.
However now its time for some bad news, as the iPhone customer launches a class action lawsuit against Apple over claims that the iPhone lacks a user-replaceable battery.
As Apple released the iPhone, the positive aspects of the iPhone were promoted like crazy, and the few downsides such as the fact that Apple did not include a physical keyboard on the iPhone were played down.
Users of the iPhone have learnt to use the on board screen instead of a keyboard so that was not a problem, but users are still upset about the sealed battery, claiming that Apple made the iPhone so users would have to keep buying more iPhones and the battery does not last as long as Apple claims.
What do you think about the iPhone lawsuit against Apple?
Is you iPhone battery working properly?

| | Apple Q3 Results: Macs up 33%, iPod up 21%, iPhone has ‘Great Start’ 2007-07-26 14:08:09
Steve Jobs can sit back and relax, at least for a little while, after their very impressive third quarter earnings. The Company posted a revenue of $5.41 billion and net quarterly profit of $818 million, or $.92 per diluted share which simply, only Apple could do.
The amazing statistics are brightened after being compared to the revenue of $4.37 billion and net quarterly profit of $472 million, or $.54 per diluted share that they had a year ago.
Shipping almost 10 million ipods in just this quarter, Apple really do have a reason to smile. With the fastest selling personal gadget being the iPhone, things don’t look too bad in the future either. Keep up the good work I say.
What do you think of Apple’s success, are they truly worthy of such great stats?

Now this is bizarre because Apple stores charge an entrance fee of $5 to see iPhone and next gen iPods, large crowds are flocking to see the iPhone and the next generation iPods so to beat the crowds Apple are charging customers which is totally crazy but hey what a way to make money.
The reason they are charging this entrance fee is to limit crowds to keep stores safe but they also want to keep the right kind of customer in the stores it was reported by a Vince Sciopiano the vice president of retail outlets, he also went on to say that by saying that of right customers he means true Apple customers with money and will to pay just to look at their newest wares.
In side the store geniuses will be there but outside the store their will be guards who will guard the window displays and entrances. So what do you get for $5? Well you will get an Apple button which allows you to enter the store and it is used to track customer’s movements.
Would you pay $5 to enter an Apple store?
