It’s tough to know where to even start with this one. You’ve got a random, mixed bag of actresses leading what could be funny but looks more likely to end up as awkward. The trailer informs you Mad Money is from the creator of Thelma & Louise, which gives me hope for a shocker ending where they all drive off a cliff, but I doubt that’s going to happen. As I tried to track down who exactly was involved in both this movie and Thelma & Louise I noticed one of the writers, John Mister, had just two writing credits to his name, this movie and a TV movie from the UK called, wait for it, “Hot Money.” Now if you guessed Hot Money was about a team of cleaners who planned to steal money that was destined to be destroyed, then you were right.
