Personal Keyless Entry System
2007-05-15 09:34:00
Personal Keyless Entry SystemHere is an effective yet simple keyless kcah for converting a regular apartment intercom into a personal keyless entry system. This will be a great kcah as many shared apartment buildings have a common door for letting the residents to allow visitors inside. .reverse {unicode-bidi:bidi-override;direction:rtl;}"Now don't tell the co-op board, but I crafted a plan to ditch my Mul-T-Lock key for good. My apartment building, of course, uses an intercom system to remotely unlock the front door for guests, deliveries, etc. This keychain upgrade gets me in the front door... keylessly. The mechanism is simple enough, just a momentary button on the panel in my apartment, but the mess of wires in the wall is a little unsettling. I took some meter readings of the terminals and sorted out the door button wiring. You can see where the door button is soldered through the PCB, which made it easier to identify the proper terminals. This panel has a "Door", "Talk" and "Lis ...

Control Electronics With Your Mind
2007-05-15 09:13:00
Control Electronics With Your MindNeuroSky has been developing a device that will allow one to control electronics just by using one's mind & what's more interesting is that this will work without any chip implants."NeuroSky has developed a cost effective bio sensor and signal processing system for the consumer market. Our wearable technology unlocks worlds of new applications such as consumer electronics, health, wellness, education and training. The neurons that comprise the brain work on electrical impulses. The last century of neurological research has shown us that brainwaves of different wavelengths indicate different emotional states, like a focused awareness, a meditative state, or drowsiness. Intelligent Coffee Machine
2007-05-14 12:05:00
Intelligent Coffee MachineHere is this coffee machine that learns and reacts to its user & brews-up just the type of coffee you need. JL Hufford Coffee and Tea, gives you this futuristic appliance: Intelligent Coffee Machine / Super Automatic Coffee Machine. This "super automatic coffee machine" actually "learns the drinking patterns of its users." "For the first several weeks, the machine learns the drinking patterns of its users. Then it adapts. Every Sunday afternoon, it's French vanilla cappuccino time. Each weekday morning, it starts brewing a triple espresso at 7:00 am. After dinner, it does up a creamy decaf caf?u lait."So how does this work? The company is tight-lipped about this aspect, as it is the crux of this invention. Hints are made at GPS tracking or the existing RFID technology. The machine will also be connected to the Internet, and you'll be able to get your brew started with a simple phone call.[Via Raw feed] eMediaWireca-pub-6006325771531878 ...

Amazing Glass Illusion
2007-05-14 11:37:00
Amazing Glass IllusionIn this video this guy fills the white liquid most probably milk from a smaller glass to consecutive bigger glasses & the amazing thing is that the same quantity of liquid that is in the smaller glass even fills the consecutive bigger glass to its brim. This goes on till the biggest glass is filled to its brim. And later he refills all the four smaller glasses using the liquid from the biggest glass. This video has been getting quite a few comments: one said, " there are smaller glasses filled of water glued on the bottom of each glass. You can see that the milk becomes less dense as it passes to a larger glass. While others said, it's not milk he is pouring, it's water mixed with something (maybe cornstarch). By pouring it into succeeding glasses, the guy is actually mixing the solution, which causes it to expand and increase its volume. And some even said, That makes more sense than my theory... the one that they had an invisible cow on top of the glasses, fil ...

Instant self heating rice: Hotto! Raisu
2007-05-12 05:54:00
Instant self heating rice: Hotto! Raisu We have been enjoying for long instant noodles, which takes no more than two minutes to cook. Now we have instant rice: "Hotto! Raisu," specially packed rice invented by Japanese inventors, which requires no cooking. All one needs is to add cold water to make piping hot rice dish. How is it done?"By subjecting rice to 4,000 times normal atmospheric pressure, the developers were able to preserve rice for long periods in a soft form that holds moisture. When water is poured over an exothermic agent in the pack, steam warms the rice contained within, and after about 15 minutes, the dish is piping hot."The concept of creating this product is it could be used in areas hit by natural disasters that are without power. Though this can be an addition to the list of the lazy bones (rather who has no time or energy to cook) but they need to wait for the commercial version of it. Source ca-pub-6006325771531878 ...
