And I happened to have a source of a suitable liquid right in my shed in the form of a LPG cylinder (liquid petroleum gas). Obviously it would not do to evaporate vast quantities of a flammable gas into the closed confines of my garage. That would probably be dangerous. What I needed was a way to remove the dangerous gas. The solution was obvious. The gas is flammable so why not burn it. Burning the gas with a normal burner would not use up the gas fast enough to give me any serious cooling. What I needed was a way to use up a lot of fuel very, very quickly. So how did this happen & who is responsible for this? Is it the work of an angered employee or a weak & faulty construction that couldn't take the required load & ended up with juices & beverages all over the floor. This is the infestation of a moth called Bird-cherry Ermine.The caterpillars eat leaves from bird cherry. They also spin this white silk-like substance around trees, and after a while they turn into pupas in large clusters like in some of the photos. Eventually they become small white moths. The caterpillars don't smell. But when you stand under a tree and listened carefully, you could perceive the tiny sounds of a million larvae eating and moving. I have no idea why they like bikes so much. Does the structure remind them of a tree with thin branches? I don't know.
