Basava Premanand’s Delirium
Is Basava Premanand Senile, Confused, A Liar Or All Of The Above?
On the saibaba-invigilator blog (run by an anonymous ex-devotee), the following excerpt was cited, apparently published in Basava Premanand’s Indian Skeptic magazine:
“The Indian Skeptic 15.10.2007 Vol. 20 No. 6
(Editor, printer, publisher, owner Basava Premanand)
Editors Page: Failed Sabotage by SSB. Through Gerald Moreno, who tried to confuse people with false hood on behalf of Ratnakaram Satyanarayana Raju and to prove that all my findings about SNR are false. He even claimed that I had a concubine and cheated my wife! That the kidney stealing case filed by Balaji in High Court of Andhra Pradesh was dismissed; that Prof.A. T. Kovoor died, of syphilis that my findings of the 6 murders in SNR’s bedroom were all false and many more starting from the National Award given to me in 1998, that the applying of oil by SNR on. the erogenic zones of the children for awakening the Kundalini sh ...

Indian Skeptic (Indian Sceptic) Magazine
2008-07-14 14:29:00
Introduction To The Indian Skeptic:
The Indian Skeptic is a radical rationalist magazine that is published in India by Basava Premanand (an atheist and skeptic) who is also the chairman for the Indian CSICOP. Although the Indian Skeptic attempts to portray itself as an honest, accountable and scientific magazine that exposes alleged paranormal phenomena, it is actually a cover for rationalist propaganda that resorts to unscientific and tabloid-like sleaze. This webpage is devoted to exposing the truth about the Indian Skeptic Magazine and the shocking truth about its publisher, B. Premanand.
Who Is Responsible For The Indian Skeptic Magazine?
The editor, printer, self-publisher and owner of the Indian Skeptic periodical is B. Premanand, Convener Indian CSICOP, 11/7 Chettipalayam Road, Podanur 641023 Tamilnadu, India (Ref).
Editorial Board For The Indian Skeptic Tabloid:
Rahul Singh, Bombay
Mrs. Margret Bhatty, Nagpur

Remembering Sai Geetha (aka ‘Sai Geeta’ - ‘Sai Gita’)

Baby Gita - Hairs Standing On End
Remembering Sai Geetha (aka ‘Sai Geeta’ - ‘Sai Gita’)
Sai Gita: The Sweet Song Of Sai
To the mortals, exit from the physical plane comes as a big blow, for. It inflicts pain of separation from near and dear ones. Quoting an anonymous poet, Prof. N. Kasturi wrote substantiating his statement that anything, which is born and grows, declines and dies, …as soon as we are born our funeral procession started! Our heart is the drum. Our hearts beat like a muffled drum and the funeral march starts! So, birth is only the beginning of death!
Sai Geeta’s illustrious story that has essentially become a part of His Story is indeed an inspiring saga, especially in an age when man often falters to understand God’s greatest boon to humanity, the great sojourn called life. In an age when human values struggle to find their way into human hearts, when man’s bestial tendencies often prevail upon the latent good in him, it is Divinity&r ...

Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi - Ammachi - The Hugging Saint
‘Hugging saint’ is compassion in action
By Jane Lampman | Staff writer of The Christian Science Monitor
MARLBOROUGH, MASS.
Some have traveled many miles to the Boston suburbs, from upstate New York, Philadelphia, New Jersey. All come to spend time in her presence - and to receive the tender hug she has given to some 30 million people in several countries.
The small, smiling woman in a white sari is on her yearly tour across the US, drawing thousands at each stop. People sit in line for hours just to be enfolded in that motherly embrace, perhaps asking her a fervent question about a decision that troubles them or the deeper purpose of life.
Amma - the affectionate name for Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi - has been dubbed “the hugging saint” by international media. But her unconventional spiritual practice and her teachings aim at a deeper impact.
The Indian guru wishes to comfort wounded hearts t ...

Saraswati - Hindu Goddess Of Learning Saraswati Devi
Saraswati is a Hindu goddess of learning. She is the goddess of speech (Vac), the Flowing-One. She represents the union of power and intelligence from which organized creation arises. Saraswati posseses all the learnings of the the Vedas, scriptures, dancing, musical power and poetry. She revealed language and writing to man. Her origin is the lost Vedic river Saraswati. This is the source of her profound connection to fluidity in any aspect (water, speech, thought, etc.). She is wisdom, fortune, intelligence, nourishment, brilliance, contentment, splendour and devotion.
Origins of Saraswati
The Sarasvati river was one of the major water causeways in northwest India. The river was navigable in the third and fourth millennium, BCE, from the Gulf of Khambat (Lothal) throughout Surkotada and Kotda (Dholavira, close to Bet Dwaraka) and upward th rough Nara-Hakra-Ghaggar-Sarasvati channels, right through to Mathura. It flowed directly ...

Failed Legal Maneuvers Against Sathya Sai Baba: PART SEVEN
1999 Writ Petition About Alleged Kidney Transplant Malpractice:
On his defamatory, Anti-Sai WordPress blog, Barry Pittard attempted to bolster his lamentable argument that court cases have been filed against Sathya Sai Baba by citing the alleged “stolen kidney” writ petition (whose details were taken exclusively from an Indian newspaper).
First and foremost, the alleged writ petition was not filed against Sathya Sai Baba or the Sai Organization. It was allegedly filed against the doctors at the Super Speciality Hospital. To Date: Not even one person (including resourceful rationalists, atheists or Indian skeptics) has been able to produce a scan or copy to the alleged “stolen kidney” writ petition. The only “evidence” cited is the following Deccan Chronicle newspaper article:
Deccan Chronicle 5.11.99: “Hyderabad Nov 4: Justice G Raghu Ram of the Andhra Pradesh High Court on Thursday admitted a writ petition seekin ...

Failed Legal Maneuvers Against Sathya Sai Baba: PART SIX
Basava Premanand’s Failed CIC Case:
On October 30th 2006, Basava Premanand filed a case (which was not a court case) with the Central Information Commission In India against Sathya Sai Baba. In decision No. 330/IC(A)/2006 - F.No.CIC/MA/A/2006/00614, the CIC denied Premanand’s request due to the fact that they had already addressed his requests in decision No. 09/IC(A)/2006 on March 10th 2006. Neither Basava Premanand or his questionably ‘competent’ legal advisors were aware of this fact.
Although B. Premanand filed the case, he was not present at the hearing. This is just another example of the type of ridiculous requests that Premanand engages in to harass Sathya Sai Baba and the Sai Organization.
In all these years, neither Basava Premanand or his questionably ‘competent’ legal advisors have been able to make any leeway against Sri Sathya Sai Baba in any court of law in India despite the seri ...

Failed Legal Maneuvers Against Sathya Sai Baba: PART FIVE
Basava Premanand, the Gold-Control-Act & His Failed Writ Petition:
India’s Gold Control Act of 1962 prohibited citizens of India from holding pure gold bars and coins. The old holdings in pure gold had to be compulsorily converted into jewellery that had to be declared. Only licensed dealers were allowed to deal in pure gold bars and coins. The Gold Control Act was abolished in 1990.
Basava Premanand (an Indian rationalist and critic of Sathya Sai Baba from 1968) attempted to file a writ petition against the Guru for materializing gold jewelry and other gold items, claiming that Sai Baba was violating the Gold Control Act for “manufacturing” gold. Of course, this claim is utterly absurd and Premanand’s writ petition was promptly dismissed. In order for Premanand to have had a valid case, he would have needed to:
Prove that Sathya Sai Baba truly “materialized” gold objects. Since Premanand ...

Information About Relevant Supreme Court Justices:
The following Indian Supreme Court Justices are often the targets of malicious smear-campaigns by Ex-Devotees of Sathya Sai Baba. Critics have accused the following Justices of being Sai Devotees although they cannot provide a scintilla of verifiable information or credible sources to support their erroneous claims:
R. C. LahotiLahoti, Ramesh Chandra, B.Com., LL.B—Born on 1-11-1940. Joined the Bar in District Guna in 1960 and enrolled as an Advocate in 1962. In April, 1977, recruited directly from the Bar to the State Higher Judicial Service and was appointed as a District & Sessions Judge. After functioning as a District & Sessions Judge for a year, he resigned in May 1978 and reverted to the Bar for practice mainly in the High Court. Appointed Additional Judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court on 3.5.1988 and made permanent Judge on 4.8.1989. Transferred to Delhi High ...
