Kentucky Baptists finally do something 2007-11-15 17:57:20 Kentucky's largest religious body is urging its churches to take sweeping steps to prevent sexual abuse in its congregations, action an advocate for victims says is a good first move, though it falls short of what is needed.The Kentucky Baptist Convention approved a resolution Tuesday at its annual meeting that urges churches to increase their awareness of the issue and obtain professional background checks on all staff members and volunteers who work with minors. I was told to pay attention to how people use definitions when they describe and explain an opposing viewpoint. Now, I had not planned to address Anthony Flew’s “conversion to theism”, but I just can’t help myself.When I looked into this, I did not find the devil anywhere near, only a book written with Anthony Flew’s and Roy A. Well, it’s because I expect the (properly engineered) process to be self-evident or intuitive. When it is not, or I’m too dumb to figure it out, I read the manual. I’m sure many of you have heard the Christian admonishment…“when life has you stumped, read the “owner’s manual”, that is, the Bible. Well, I did this and the more I read and studied, the more complicated the “simple godly life” became! But, hold on here! How could anything be more important than “God’s Will and His Salvation”?
