Jeff Flake and John Campbell Deserve Our Support for Cleaning Up the House
2007-08-13 22:12:00
Nancy Pelosi promised the American people to create an open and transparent Congress. Instead, we have one of the most corrupt Congresses in history; seven House members are under investigation by the Justice Department. Thankfully, we must stand in awe that Congress’s corruption is only surpassed by its ineptitude. Allow me to explain.Had we had an efficient Congress, a Congress that was able to pass legislation easily, rest assured that our money could be squandered much more quickly. But, because Nancy Pelosi is an abject failure as a Speaker, earmarks have not been able to spread like wildfire. This is not to say that Government waste is not horrific at its present levels; it just could be far worse.Nevertheless, two men deserve enormous praise for attempting to clean up our corrupt Legislature. Those two Congressmen are Jeff Flake, Republican from Arizona, and John Campbell, Republican from California. Too often their efforts go unnoticed, and it is time that those who support l ...

Al Gore and John Kerry Rode the Short Bus to School
2007-08-12 21:05:00
There is a common misconception that the Democrat Party is the party of intelligence and reason. Al Gore and John Kerry have even been touted as brilliant and visionary. As usual, nothing could be further from this inconvenient truth. After reviewing an old Washington Post article, we learn that Al Gore not only underperforms expectations, but he is one failing class away from riding the short bus to school. Gore received mostly C’s and B’s in English and French in High School. Moreover, he received a D in Natural Sciences and then got a C+ in Natural Sciences his senior year. Amazingly, those grades were sufficient for Gore to attend Harvard University. We all know, however, that his admittance had something to do with having a big-time Politician for a father. But, liberals still paint the false picture that only Republicans use their parent’s political power to get ahead. Not surprisingly, at Harvard, Al Gore “received one D, one C-minus, two C's, two C-pluses and one ...

Media Shocked that Smoking Declines as Taxes Increase
2007-08-10 17:50:00
It is astonishing when the media touts as news that tax rates impact behavior. While this goes against the long-held liberal assumption that we live in an inelastic economy, any person who understands basic economics will argue the contrary. The truth is that when taxes increase, people spend less, work less, and hire less people. If a particular product is taxed excessively, people will use less of that product or the product may even move into the “black market” to be sold at a discount. After listening to these people, however, I am starting to think that most liberals failed Economics and majored in Sociology. There is no other explanation for why liberals discard proven economic theories, and instead attempt to successfully micromanage our economy via government control. It has never worked, and never will work. But, again this requires understanding of basic economics, which they clearly do not have.Instead, in an embarrassing admission of incredulity, The USA Today post ...

Newt Gingrich Declares that the 2008 Presidential Election Process is Bad for America
2007-08-09 21:02:00
Newt Gingrich, ignoring all his idiosyncrasies, is right as usual. The 2008 Presidential Election is too long, too expensive and verges on “insane.” This fact was clearly demonstrated this week when less than 1 million people watched the Democratic Debate on MSNBC. I think more people will vote for Elvis as a Write-in Candidate. This phenomenon of Presidential Candidates starting excessively early, and relying on uninformed “consultants,” is terrible for our political process. Procedurally, Candidates are reduced to thirty-second answers to prevent what happened to Senator Barack Obama last week. Moreover, these sound-bites are not sufficient to educate the public and so there is perpetual political ignorance.Gingrich was very candid about Obama’s statements. Barack Obama declared that he would dispatch U.S. troops to Pakistan to attack al Qaeda if Pakistani authorities fail to get them. Newt spoke with intellectual honesty rarely seen by someone so partisan: “Obama s ...

Democrat Pandering Knows No Bounds. . .
2007-08-09 12:57:00
I find it hard to believe someone not on crack or LSD made these comments, let alone a former Senator. Nevertheless this is a fairly common position among Democrats and Liberals. They are always trying to inject support for homosexuals into their arguments, so that they can call us racists, bigots and homophobes when we dare question them. Gravel's statement that the Spartan armies trained soldiers to be gay is absurd and striking. For any real perspective on the nature of classical civilizations please read Victor Davis Hanson and not Democrat candidate for President Mike Gravel.Aside from the nonsense coming out of Senator Gravel's mouth, it is worth noting that this is the direction that the Democrat party has moved. Because they have no core values (other then hating George Bush of course) they are forced to pander to every single special interest group out there. In this case it's the homosexual lobby where their over the top pandering comes out. Gravel's statement is just one ...

The Ultimate Global Warming Challenge
2007-08-08 23:22:00
A few weeks ago, our editorial outlining solutions for energy independence was linked to Junkscience.com. We thought we would return the favor by telling you all about their new contest. These people are truly brilliant. If Al Gore and his mind-numb robots all believe what they say, then they surely should enter the contest. If they succeed in proving that anthropogenic global warming exists and is a problem, then we can all take them seriously. If they do not enter the contest, however, then this proves what we have known all along: Global Warming is not caused by man, and the steps taken to combat this nonsense are doing significantly more harm than good. The following below was taken from http://ultimateglobalwarmingchallenge.com/Special thanks to Right Truth for finding this story. CHALLENGE $100,000 will be awarded to the first person to prove, in a scientific manner, that humans are causing harmful global warming. The winning entry will specifically reject both of the follow ...

Radical Islam Watch. . .
2007-08-08 12:04:00
The Religion of Peace at it again.According to the SFGate.com:"A handyman being held in the slaying of newspaper editor Chauncey Bailey was formally charged with murder today, while two other men arrested in last week’s raid on Oakland’s Your Black Muslim Bakery were expected to be charged in a separate case.Devaughndre Broussard, 19, who worked at the bakery on San Pablo Avenue, is to be arraigned this afternoon in Alameda County Superior Court on charges of murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm — specifically a shotgun– for allegedly killing Bailey, Editor of the Oakland Post, last week. The downtown courthouse was operating under heightened security today, with double the number of Alameda County sheriff’s deputies on hand to man the metal detector and to stand watch outside the building.Broussard confessed to using a shotgun to kill Bailey on Thursday at 14th and Alice streets in downtown Oakland, just blocks from his office. Police said Broussard had been an ...

Opportunity For The GOP
2007-08-08 08:58:00
Contrary to what the enemy media have been telling us for 7 months now, the GOP lost control of congress because of corruption and not because of the war. If in fact the leadership in congress changed because of the war, then why haven't they been able to stop it (which is what they claim the American people elected them to do)? Not only have they not been able to stop it, but there are more troops in Iraq now then there were preceding the donkey's success at the polls last November. This is all in the face of historically low approval ratings for Congress that hover around 14%. This fact should bode well for the congressional GOP in the 2008 elections. However, with many GOP still endorsing Pork, the voters may not endorse any sort of GOP leadership.Exit polling from last year's elections illustrate that those who actually showed up to vote ranked political corruption as their most important issue. The GOP does not have to settle with its inept leadership. If they are serious ...

Walking Causes Climate Change / Global Warming: Had Enough Yet?
2007-08-07 17:50:00
I have had it with these global warming nutcases. They need to be stopped soon or they will be the death of us. I thought these lunatics had hit a new low when they said that humans are using too much solar energy, but this new story may be worse. This new story is so much worse in fact, that I think rational people are beginning to realize that global warming is a multi-billion dollar industry perpetuated by guilt.Let us first examine what we have been told by these liberals so far: 1) We destroy the planet by driving to work; 2) providing for our families; 3) using electricity; 4) eating meat; 5) using too much solar energy; and 6) wiping our rear ends. Now, however, we should also be ashamed for simply walking. Do not walk anymore, it is worse than driving! If this were a joke, I would be laughing. But, they are serious. What is worse is that they are also brainwashing our next generation into believing this nonsense.Repent!! According to new “research” we are going to dro ...

Liberalism Set to Destroy the Liberal Blogosphere
2007-08-06 19:58:00
Leave it to liberals to destroy themselves with their own insanity. While the Far-Left blogosphere has been a dominant force over the last few years, ironically liberalism is on a mission to destroy it. Just like a microcosm of everything wrong with the Left, Progressives/Stalinists are now going to receive a taste of their own socialist stupidity. Two recent stories demonstrate that the liberal blogosphere will end the same way the Soviet Union did, from within. This past weekend was the Yearly Kos conference for lunatic liberal bloggers. Other than spewing nonsense, hating George Bush, and preventing a soldier from speaking, Gina Cooper, the confab’s organizer-in-chief had a problem with the event. Evidently, there were not enough women and minority bloggers there. Yes, apparently the compassionate liberals were not using affirmative action to ensure diversity at the convention. Cooper felt it was made up of too many white males and there was a socioeconomic gap too.Forget the fact ...
