Andrew Keen: The Most Pathetic Human Being in Existence
2007-08-17 00:02:00
If you want to step back in awe of the most pathetic human being on the face of the Earth, look no further than Andrew Keen. Andrew Keen has written a book titled, “The Cult of the Amateur.” Evidently, Keen is an elitist who argues that only “experts” should manage the news, create art, and I guess control the rest of us. This man is so worthless in fact that he may have surpassed Al Gore.Keen was on the Colbert Report recently, and never in my life have I seen anyone more obnoxious. Yes, this includes Al Gore. Keen more or less admitted that elitism was a positive way of viewing the world. He was the first person I have seen who articulated so vividly the disdain and condescension that liberals have for the average person. Not only was Keen arrogant, but he was asinine as well. Keen stated that the Internet was putting artists out of business because there were too many people blogging or producing art. So I guess Keen would ban people like me from expressing libertaria ...

Digg.com: An Amazing Social Website That Has Been Hijacked By Lunatics
2007-08-16 16:58:00
Of all the community websites on the Net, Digg.com is certainly one of the best. Digg allows anyone to submit website links to their site. Once the link is received, users of the site can “Digg” or “bury” it. This process is equivalent to an up or down vote.If a site is “Dugg” by many people, it slowly moves to the top of the Digg list. Links at the top of the list easily catch the eye of many people. This leads to an increase in website traffic from the link, and more people ultimately Digg it. However, if a link is buried before other people can find the link, nobody will visit the site, and it will have a low rating. This is a very democratic process, except for one fact; people can bury links with total anonymity. This anonymous burial encourages people to seek out others whom they disagree and bury all their links unbeknownst to the submitter. They can often do this within five minutes of the link being submitted. The reason why Digg allows anonymous burials i ...

Democrats Cannot Afford For Patraeus To Succeed
2007-08-16 12:49:00
Without getting into all the evidence of how successful the surge has been, I think it is important to be prepared for the Democrat Party’s latest assault on the President.Because they cannot argue with the military success that has taken place over the past months, they will instead turn their attacks to the lack of progress on the Iraqi political front. They act as if Iraq is some petulant child who just doesn’t get it. (As opposed to the reality of being an omniumgatherum of people, who for thousands of years have had no experience with democracy). No one said it would be easy.Remember when they kept telling us that there was no military solution to the problem? Well now they will tell us that there is no political solution. They will compound this by attempting to savage the character of General David Patraeus. They won’t necessarily call him a liar, but they will try to portray him as delusional for believing victory is possible. Before Democrats decided that treason was thei ...

Hillary Clinton Fact #4
2007-08-16 10:14:00
As First Lady, Hillary Clinton and Ira Magaziner created a healthcare reform task force of 500 members, divided it into thirty-four committees and issued a 1,324-page report that was so complex nobody understood it. Then she announced that the Clinton Administration “was prepared to ‘demonize’ those who opposed the task force’s recommendations.” That according to Carl Bernstein, author of A Woman in Charge.“‘That was it for me in terms of Hillary Clinton,’ Senator Bill Bradley, of New Jersey, told Bernstein. ‘You don’t tell members of the Senate that you are going to demonize them. It was obviously so basic to who she is. The arrogance. The assumption that people with questions are enemies. The disdain. The hypocrisy.’"Related PostingsHillary Clinton Fact #1Hillary Clinton Fact #3Hillary Clinton Will Be The Next President ...

Breaking News: Hugo Chavez Proposes a Constitutionally Mandated 6-hour Workday
2007-08-15 23:07:00
In an effort to bring Venezuela into total socialist despair, Hugo Chavez just proposed a constitutionally mandated 6-hour workday. When his people starve to death, it will not be long before liberals blame America for “hoarding” the World’s resources. Moreover, when this effort fails miserably, liberals will still want to revert to socialism in the following decade. They will argue exactly what Noam Chomsky said about the Soviet Union, “Venezuela was not ‘true’ socialism.”My prediction would be laughable if it were not true. This 6-hour workday will place the Venezuelan people at the mercy of Hugo Chavez and the oil markets. If the oil markets hit a downturn, and Chavez cannot generate enough revenue, mass starvation will follow. There simply are not enough economic incentives in a socialize country to produce enough food to sustain the population.Pathetically, this all could have been easily averted. Had Chavez spent less time playing with Hollywood celebrities, ...

Open Thread: We Told You So!!

The news is out that Chicago may add a 25 cent tax on bottled water. I guess the insane Legislature cannot live within its means as usual. Moreover, the liberal argument in support of this nonsense is that bottled water is bad for the Environment, and uses too much plastic. Go Figure!Maybe someone should tell them that environmentalists in the 1970s went door-to-door telling people to buy bottled water because tap water was unhealthy. This is no different from the global cooling panic in the 1970s, which turned into the Global Warming Insanity of today. Every liberal assertion is proven wrong if you wait long enough. It is interesting, however, that Friday we wrote an Editorial about excessive taxes on cigarettes to reduce their consumption. The Government justified it to protect the public welfare. We further speculated that this would lead to overreaching taxes and government bans on just about everything. Well, after this bottled water story, we told you so.Open Thread: Comm ...

Beyond the Pale

It is amazing when we hear about intellectual abuse on our Indoctrination Universities. This story below reminds me of my experience as an Undergrad. It clearly demonstrates how liberal Professors, who have total control over students' grades, feel the incessant need to spout their political opinion.Just like Ward Churchill, who took advantage of students who lacked the power to fight back intellectually, examine how the Professor below makes incendiary remarks and then prevents room for legitimate debate. As a side note, General Petraeus, and two New York Times reporters who went to Iraq, claim undeniably that the Surge is working: The Sunnis are fighting with Americans against Al Qaeda.Agree or disagree with that statement, it is pretty clear what would have happened to a student's grade had he or she asserted that argument in class....Cross-posted from The Left-Handed Elephant below.I sat there in disbelief. I couldn’t believe my ears, my mind struggling to comprehend what had ...
