Through no fault of our own, Google decided last night to do some "maintenance" on blogger.About 10 min. after they did this, blogger started going crazy (our site along with it), and it is doing so this morning. Please do not hold it against our site, we are in contact with google to see what the problem is.Consider this an open thread. ...

John Edwards Joins John Kerry and Al Gore on the Short Bus
2007-08-20 16:40:00
After reviewing the academic prowess of John Kerry and Al Gore, I thought it was impossible to have dumber presidential candidates. Well, John Edwards is working diligently to prove me wrong. John Edwards, while talking about his socialized healthcare plan was asked if his plan was similar to Cuba’s healthcare system. Edwards’ response was simply incredulous.John Edwards responded by saying that he was not familiar with Cuba’s healthcare system. He then asked, "Is it a government-run system?" Amazingly, he justified his statement by saying that he did not see the end of Michael Moore’s movie, “Sicko.” This man just gets more ridiculous every time he opens his mouth. Is Cuba’s healthcare controlled by the government!? Newsflash to John Edwards, who hopes to be the most powerful man in the world, Cuba is a communist country! Fidel Castro is the dictator. There are people fleeing Castro in little rafts to avoid Cuba’s socialism. Cuba has had socialized medicine al ...

MSM Bias Watch: Rob Filner, Democrat (CA), Charged With Assault . . .
2007-08-20 15:02:00
That Rob Filner has been charged with a crime does not really concern me. In fact, I find it pretty boring. I am much more interested by the reporting of the matter. Below is ABC News’ account of the story:“ABC 7 has learned the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority have charged Representative Robert Filner of California with assault and battery following an incident at Dulles International Airport Sunday night.Police say they were called to the baggage claim area around 6 p.m. when a passenger attempted to enter an area authorized for airline employees only.ABC 7 spoke with several witnesses who say they saw Filner push aside an United Airlines employee and refused to leave the office. When officers arrived on scene, they found Filner waiting outside the office and informed him the airline employee would be pursuing charges.Investigators say the employee appeared before a Loudoun County Magistrate Sunday evening and Filner is now scheduled to appear in General District Cour ...

The Circus is Coming to Town: How Liberals Fight Global Warming
2007-08-20 00:04:00
If liberals are not throwing a lavish concert around the world to change the temperature of the Earth, it appears their new tactic is posing nude on a glacier or dressing like a clown to delay planes at an airport. As usual, only intentions matter to liberals. If you attempt to follow the logic from getting your rear-end stuck to an icicle, to decreasing Earth’s temperature, you must resort to the circular logic of liberalism. The first story involves the Environmental group Greenpeace. They are off to their old ways, but this time they are not trying to ban chlorine, an element on the periodic table. This time, they are being more productive with their donations from guilty liberals who are destroying the planet. It is all their fault and they must repent.Apparently, their members are happy that their donations are being used to pose nude on a glacier. It will accomplish liberals’ most important goal throughout the last fifty years, “To spread awareness.” Of what exactly ...

Rick Klein: Losing ABC News’ Audience to the New Media, One Informed Citizen at a Time
2007-08-19 00:03:00
This week has been filled with never-ending editorials and misinformation disguised as news. Finally, I have figured out the reason for this phenomenon: The same reporter is writing all the “articles.” ABC News' senior political reporter Rick Klein demonstrated total negligence with his recent reporting about John Edwards' and Ann Coulter’s catfight. He not only misquoted Ann Coulter, taking her out-of-context again, but he also failed to mention the real political campaign. Now, his most recent “article” was not only poorly written, but it read so much like an editorial I cannot grasp how anyone can take ABC News seriously anymore. Let us delve into the abyss of Klein’s most recent stream of consciousness. Without further adieu, I bring you ABC News’ senior political reporter.“Thanks, Sen. Barack Obama, for ensuring that these gatherings will grow less frequent, and thanks, former senator John Edwards, for guaranteeing that jabs will fly. Thanks, Sen. Joe Biden, f ...

The Political Genius Of Bob Shrum
2007-08-18 11:42:00
The media has a habit of anointing total hacks as soothsayers and prophets. They do this with Charlie Cook and John Zogby who haven't gotten anything right in the past 6 years. The most egregious example is that of Bob Shrum. Shrum gets the prime interviews with Tim Russert, George Stephanopoulos et al. He is treated as a political wizard. However, his record indicates something very different. In fact, reviewing his record one can't help but laugh:"Shrum worked for the Dick Gephardt campaign during the 1988 Democratic primaries, including Gephardt's surprise victory in the Iowa caucus, but after Gephardt's defeat, Shrum helped Democratic nominee Michael Dukakis in preparing for his debates against Vice President George Bush. Dukakis lost the election. In 1992, he worked for Nebraska Senator Bob Kerrey, who was defeated for the nomination by Bill Clinton. In 2000, Shrum helped Al Gore beat back a primary challenge from former New Jersey Senator Bill Bradley and win the Democra ...

ABC News Demonstrates Journalistic Negligence While Misquoting Ann Coulter, Again
2007-08-17 23:06:00
ABC News recently decided to rekindle the catfight between Senator John Edwards and Ann Coulter. Supposedly, John Edwards called her a “she-devil,” but then said that he should not engage in personal attacks. It is unbelievable how political reporters allow him to take both sides of every issue.Amazingly, we also learn that John Edwards, who wants to be the most powerful man in the world, is proud that his wife fights his battles for him. Supposedly, Elizabeth Edwards stood up to Ann Coulter on MSNBC with Chris Matthews. So, we must assume that he will send his wife to North Korea the next time they fire a missile. What is worse is that Ann Coulter never said anything recently about Edwards. It is John Edwards, a Senator of the United States, who is using Coulter as a tool to fire up his base. It is extremely low for a Presidential Candidate to attack a private citizen in order to rally supporters.Nevertheless, the “elite” media has turned into Jerry Springer and finagles ...
