Forty-four year old Randy Couture withholds his heavyweight championship by defeating Gabriel Gonzaga, a man who knocked out Mirko CroCop.Herb Dean had to stop the fight after Randy Couture got into Gonzaga’s half-guard and rained down punches. He is now a six-time champion. We should all feel inspired. Consider this an open thread. ...
Tim Russert Listens to Predictions from Brain-dead Experts
2007-08-25 22:24:00
The American people are getting tired of liberal political experts. These pundits are proven wrong time and again, and yet the MSM purports that we should still trust their opinions. We clearly would be better off getting our information from a local palm reader.Well, I had to put up with these preposterous liberal predictions on Tim Russert’s latest show. His guests were Chuck Todd of NBC News and Chris Cillizza of the Washington Post. Evidently, these guys would predict Steven Colbert could win an election if it would get them on television. At the end of this interview, amazingly Russert called them “political inside geniuses.” Well, if you ask me, I would have chosen different adjectives. These two clowns think that Barack Obama and John Edwards still have a chance to win the Presidency. Yet, when they are asked about John McCain, they adamantly said he has no chance of winning. Well, if we take a look at the polls, John McCain has 11.7% support among Republicans, and ...
HBO: Real Time With Bill Maher, Review of the New Season’s First Episode
2007-08-25 00:01:00
I have not missed a Bill Maher show since the year 2000, so of course I had to watch the newest episode of Real Time on HBO. Being a libertarian, I rarely agree with what Maher says, but as I have said before, he is funny and I enjoy being entertained. Surprisingly, the debate on his most recent show was filled with intellectual honesty never before seen in Liberal Land. The reason why I am so surprised by the most recent show is because a typical episode of Real Time often involves a “debate” between Maher, two Far-Left actors, one inarticulate RINO, and Maher’s heckling socialist audience. I often cannot contain myself from yelling at the television at the token conservative who muddles words worse than stuttering Bob.Before this recent episode, Frank Luntz was the only Conservative who lived up to my expectations. Several months ago, Luntz was his eloquent self, and silenced the audience when he added facts to dispute their emotion-based arguments. He was the best guest I ...
James Carville Looks For 2008 Bumper Sticker
2007-08-24 11:41:00
James Carville needs help in finding a bumper sticker slogan for the Democrat Party in 2008.Given that Hillary Clinton is going to be the nominee, how about this as their slogan. This kills two birds with one stone. It gives them a snappy song and a catchy, meaningful one-liner.The fever is gonna get us alright because after Hillary shoves socialized medicine down our throats we wont be able receive decent health care.Related Posts:Compassionate PoliticiansCombating Socialized Medicine ...

James Boyce: Stalinist Blogger on The Huffington Post
2007-08-23 19:19:00
Liberal bloggers often make such baseless statements that I consider them comedians. Their arguments are rarely more complex than an attack on conservatives for being “stupid.” However, every once in a while liberal bloggers make my skin crawl with their Stalinist ideas. Well, today I happened to witness the latter. What is so awful about many of these liberal bloggers is that they are so isolated from any contradictory ideas. Consequently, when they seek to silence dissent via government action, many of them do not realize how totalitarian they really are. While conservatives and libertarians seek to educate their audience as much as possible, liberals conversely hope to prevent their side from hearing the opposition. The article that caught my eye recently was written by James Boyce, a liberal blogger on The Huffington Post. James Boyce did not write anything profound, but his statements are still touted as enlightening by those equally uninformed. Evidently, he disagreed wi ...

MSM, Democrat Party Revel In American Failures
2007-08-23 16:20:00
It has been obvious for some time now that the anti-war democrats and their accomplices in the MSM reveled each time an American soldier met their end in Iraq. This makes sense because liberals care more about being right then they do about their Country. Each American death in Iraq has been framed by the media and by democrats as proof that liberals were correct about the war. Now this argument loses credibility when you look at how many of these people not only voted for the war, but made strong statements as to why it was the right thing to do . But I digress.Over the summer it has become ever more apparent that the surge has continued to work. Thus, because liberals care more about not looking bad then they do about their Country, they needed to divert attention to another awful situation that they could highlight and cheer about. For example, the current "credit crunch" has given liberals, democrats and the media just that opportunity. You can bet now that every time someone loses ...

The Most Dangerous Class-Action Lawsuit of Our Time: Suing For Causing Global Warming and Hurricanes
2007-08-22 17:00:00
There is a class-action lawsuit that has been developing under the radar over the last several months. The information reported about it, however, has not been sufficient to flesh out the major issues of the case. The case I am talking about involves the degenerate trial lawyer Gerald Maples. Maples, known for his class-action asbestos litigation, is now taking advantage of poor Hurricane Katrina victims. He should be embarrassed for what he is perpetrating, but like most lawyers, he has no shame. This time, Maples is suing 26 oil companies for contributing to Hurricane Katrina because of their greenhouse gas emissions. Not only should this be thrown out of Federal Court for clear lack of Standing, Maples should be sanctioned for filing a frivolous lawsuit. It is frivolous because there is ample case law preventing grievances such as these from being heard in Federal Court. Instead, the grievances posed in this case by the Katrina victims "is the function of Congress and the Chie ...

It is frivolous because there is no statute from which to base Maples' class-action lawsuit, and the State and Federal Common Law claims are too attenuated.By filling under the Common Law, rather than a Federal Statute, this avoids the typical standing ...
Scientists Discover Cure For Starvation
2007-08-21 18:49:00
According to a new study bound to make people care less about personal responsibility: scientists discovered a common cold virus that is a factor in obesity. This is abject nonsense without even reviewing the data. Or, at the very least, it is not a significant enough factor to create any discernible weight gain. You may be asking how I am so certain. Well, if this were true, scientists would intentionally inflict starving people in Africa or sick patients who lose too much weight with this cold. But, nowhere did scientists even consider such an endeavor. The reason why scientists would never suggest such a feat is because eating food, not catching a cold virus, causes obesity.Just think about it. If this cold causes people to gain weight, then we should be able to give it to a starving child and the child will gain weight. But, we know that cannot happen. Why? Well, because the starving child is not taking in enough calories to gain weight.Likewise, it logically follows that a ...

Dennis Miller - Prophet
2007-08-21 16:38:00
Not that we all couldn't see it coming when the Democrat Party took control of the House last November, but Dennis Miller was dead on about its highest ranking member.Nancy Pelosi's reign as Speaker of the House has been arguably one of the most unsuccessful in modern congressional history. When Newt Gingrich took the gavel in 1995, Republicans brought to the floor of the House 10 major bills, ranging from welfare reform to term limits. This was a serious agenda. Conversely, Pelosi came to power with no such agenda other than, "Bush Sucks."While this may have helped her and other Democrats get elected in 2006, her stewardship of the slim Democrat majority has proven disastrous. Pelosi's House now has a historically low 18% approval rating. Such low congressional approval ratings are often associated with poor economic conditions. The most similar circumstances would be approval ratings from the late 1970's and early 1990's. Nevertheless, this congressional downturn is not accompan ...
