An endorsement means the organization is encouraging a vote for the candidate. A recommendation means that they approve of the candidate, but will put off a formal endorsement until after the general election. The only statewide candidates to be endorsed for 2007 are Haley Barbour for governor and Charlie Ross for lt. governor. Neshoba County Fair 2007-07-23 07:31:47 I spent most of Saturday experiencing my first fair and just wanted to take a minute to write about a few things. First, unfortunately I did not realize I forgot my camera until Carthage so I have no pictures for proof that I was there or to pass along. For the latest from the fair, you can check out Sid Salter’s blog. He will be posting from Neshoba all week. Cotton Mouth has also said he will be tapping and posting the political speeches, which will take place in the middle of the week. It had rained the night before, but was not muddy by any means so that was a good first sign. When we got there, we walked around for a little while just looking at the cabins and all the other sites. We also checked out the Arts and Crafts show at Founder’s Square, and then rested in the Pavilion until taking in the mule races, 4-H competition (they put ropes on the steers and the kids had to pull them into a square in the middle of the arena), and then the rodeo later in the evening.
