Smilies 2007-07-16 16:25:01 Well, just because even a blogger like me needs an injection of levity as part of his day (to keep sane), I’ve taken extra steps and implemented some fun changes to the comments box. Now you can add quicktag edits with the click of a few buttons instead of having to manually type in code. I’ve wanted that functionality here on the Anvil for a long time and I finally hacked together some code to make it happen. But beyond that, the levity part comes in, and that’s in the form of smilies: Yeah, those. Standard smilies will automatically be translated into an image, so if you’re familiar with typing those, no sweat. But the custom changes go far beyond that. AKA Happypick AKA Lilolemiss, but she was one of those rare readers that pours love onto a blogger like myself and gives me that little extra steam to keep chugging along. This morning I opened an email from one of her old friends that revealed the news that Sheila has moved on to a much better place.
