Guilty Pleasures

With Lindsay Lohan in hiding and Paris Hilton doing the whole reformed bit, tabloids have had to turn to the remaining two wild children of Hollywood: Nicole Richie and Britney Spears. Of course Richie is supposedly all reformed too, now that she is with child. I could spend a lot of time posting pictures of her eating (yes, actual food) but I've never found that freaky, no-talent, ugly beast of interest. Therefore, we are left with Britney.Britney Spears hit a parked car the other day and luckily there was plenty of photogs there to catch it. And even better than that is the video that also came of it:First, notice that she is driving with one hand, the other is too busy holding some rat-animal that she probably found eating garbage in her bedroom. At the beginning of the video I was somewhat shocked to hear photographers asking Britney is she was ok and even more shocked when she responded nicely and said "I'm a braniac!" Eventually she asked the photogs if she had hurt her car, bu ...

It has been a rather long day, which was only lengthened when there wasn't enough juicy celebrity gossip to warrant a full Guilty Pleasures segment. The news wasn't even that interesting. But, onwards and upwards.Come on, before you think its a little too creepy, notice the ice cream that dropped the head off of his serving of children. Well I think it's funny. This dude needs to calm down. Being that invested (no pun intended) in the stock market is not only ridiculous but also detrimental to one's health. Imagine his blood pressure. Imagine his poor wife.As a rule, I hate punctuation games but this one was too good.Sarah Jessica Parker can't seem to let go of Paris or Carrie Bradshaw. Apparently someone allowed her to make her own perfume and its all I can do to turn on the TV and avoid her ugly foot-face plugging the stink or the myriad of Garnier products that she is the spokesperson for. This commercial is just too weird:And my favorite bit of the night:It is a bit hard to rea ...

A total of four U.S. soldiers have been killed over the weekend from two separate roadside bombs. One U.S. convoy was struck when a roadside bomb exploded south of Baghdad, killing three soldiers. The other solider died when a roadside bomb exploded on Monday. The type of roadside bombs are supposed to be provided to Shi-ite militias by Iran. An additional four soldiers died in the Diyala providence on Monday due to car bombs. This brings the total number of U.S. troops killed in the first six days of August to 21. Since the initial invasion in 2003 the total number of killed soldiers has reached 3,682.A U.S.-led coalition base in southern Afghanistan was attacked today by 75 Taliban militants in a frontal attack that led to over 20 Taliban deaths. The attack came as a surprise considering that the Taliban and similar militias normally strike via suicide bombings, car bombs or even the occasional mortar bomb. Attacking at the front gates is a sign that the Taliban is getting more bold ...

Kid Rock (aka Robert James Ritchie) was arrested in Nashville in February 2005 for misdemeanor assault after he got involved in a fight with a DJ at a strip club in the area. Ritchie has two prior arrests, both in Michigan, one in 1991 and the other in 1997 (neither of which are easily researched).Luckily Kid Rock isn't much of a big name anymore. It was somewhat sad when he somehow climbed the ranks of pop music and established that trailer park trash can be celebrated for lackluster accomplishments. Kid Rock was married to Pam Anderson, which only lowers his class level. Somehow he has managed to keep making music and is slated to release a new album in October of this year.Motiveless Crime is on the rise. ...

Rush Limbaugh turned himself into he Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office in April 2006 for doctor shopping. Investigators found that the 55-year-old had moved from doctor to doctor, attaining numerous prescriptions for powerful painkillers such as OxyContin.Florida prosecutors eventually settled for addiction counseling where the conservative radio star won't be charged with a felony if he stays clean for 18 months and avoids being arrested again. Limbaugh was also slammed with $30,000 in fines and court costs. The agreement also requires that Limbaugh never own a gun and submit to random drug testing. The ironic part is the Limbaugh has spent years telling his listeners that illegal drug attainment, in any form, is wrong and that he believes anyone who breaks the law should go to jail. Shouldn't you be in jail Mr. Limbaugh? I know the world would be a better place if you were. ...

Lindsay Lohan's apparent disappearance after her last DUI has had me concerned. I don't really care if she is getting help for her issues but I do miss knowing where she is 24/7. That may sound stalkerish, but I'm not the one following her. Rumors have finally begun to solidify concerning where she is now but I still wonder where she has been for the past week or so. Word initially had it that Lindsay had jetted off to Long Island to stay at her mother's house there. Of course this is probably the worst choice considering that Dina Lohan is obviously the X-factor for Lindsay's drug abuse. The rumor was started when a ton of Lohan's crap was delivered to the house after reports came in that Lindsay and her younger sister were rumored to be on a plane together. Yet somehow there are no pictures of the flight, no witnesses, nothing. And we all know that photogs love to hang out at LAX (the airport, not the club) waiting for any jet-setting celebs. How is Lindsay staying so under the ...

One of the men responsible for the terrorist attack at Glasgow Airport on June 30th died today following complications due to him dousing his body in gasoline and lighting himself, causing 90% of his body to be seriously burned. The man's name was Kafeel Ahmed, a 27-year-old who may have been the driver that rammed his Jeep into the terminal in Glasgow. Ahmed was an engineer with a degree in design and technology from Bangalore, India. His death is considered a loss mainly because of his possible ability to reveal other terrorist cell members. Besides that, good riddance.Seven women and one child were murdered and mutilated in the Cabo Delgado region of Mozambique this week. According to country officials the practice of murdering, mutilating and exhuming bones has become widespread for use in witchcraft rituals. Currently the black market is centered around selling points in Malawi, South Africa and Zimbabwe. The governor of Cabo Delgado says that the murderers kill their victims and ...

Rush Hour 3 is coming out soon and after seeing the trailer for it I started wondering if Chris Tucker had ever been arrested. I know that seems odd, but I would seriously like to see him behind bars. Tucker was arrested on April 19, 2005 in McDuffie County, Georgia for for reckless driving and fleeing to elude after he did not pull over immediately. Police charged him for doing 109 mph in his Bentley.Tucker spent about 30 minutes in the slammer before posting a bond. His reason for speeding? He was in a hurry because he was late for church. No, seriously. If you haven't seen the trailer, here is less than a minute that you will never get back from your life: ...
