The document also goes on to state that other Christian denominations are either defective or not true churches at all and that Catholicism is the only path to salvation. It isn't like he said anything that most Catholics didn't already believe and extol in mass. Oddly enough, wasn't he recently on a mission to unite the Christian faith for the better good?
